Chapter 22

"There they are." Nick said looking at the gates of the amusement park. I followed where he was looking and there I saw Summer waving at us and Roman just leaning on the gate. I placed my hands on Nick's arm then made our way over them.

"Let's go?" Summer said as soon as we got close to them and we just nodded. I looked at Roman from his foot upwards and I couldn't help but to lick my bottom lips when I saw what he was wearing. It was just a plain blue green shirt but the fabric hugged him perfectly, making those biceps almost bulge out. My eyes wandered up to his lips, nose and when our eyes met he just rolled his then walked inside the entrance gate. My cheeks started to heat up not only because he caught me checking him out but also he gave a smirk just before he turned his face away.

I didn't notice that my grip on Nick's arm was getting tighter.

"What's wrong, babe?" He asked with a worried voice, making me look at him.

"U-uh nothing...let's just go inside" I said giving him a little smile to assure him that everything was fine.

Once we got inside the amusement park, I started to look around the place to familiarize myself with it and to see what rides were awaiting us.

"So, where do you wanna go first?" Summer asked with a squeal at the end. Looks like she's excited, let me ruin it just a bit.

"Let's go eat first, I'm kinda hungry." I said with this innocent smile and I tried not to let out a laugh when I saw Summer's face completely changed from being excited to annoyed.

"I'm getting hungry too." Nick agreed forcing Summer to go with us.

After walking around, we finally found a food court and it was almost placed at the center of the park making the rides more visible to us. After buying, we went to a table that was near the exit because the view was more beautiful there and the music too. We just ate quietly, sometimes the three would have a conversation about wrestling but I wasn't really feeling left out because I was enjoying the food too much.

"How did you two become official?" Summer asked with this huge grin plastered on her face and for some reason my eyes went to Roman who was stopped from eating his food then looked at Nick, probably curious also.

Dolph let out a small laugh before telling them the beautiful story of how we got together again. Honestly, I was getting uncomfortable and it became worse when Nick started touching my hand. I'm just not used to getting all touchy especially that someone's infront of us. Summer was just listening to him with her chin in the palm of her hands like she was listening to some kind of fairytale story.

"Wow Dolph, that dome must be beautiful I wanna go there!" Summer said then turned to look at Roman but Nick disagreed.

"Hey! That's our special place, go somewhere else!" He protested which made Summer pout. I looked at Roman and gulped when I saw this smirk on his face that he always do when he's getting annoyed and Nick was too oblivious to notice that.

"Sure, we'll go find somewhere else better than that dome." Roman told Nick with a deep glare and a smirk on his face. I don't know if it's just me but I can feel the tension rising up and it was cut off when Summer interrupted.

"Dolph, your hair looks similar with that bowl of noodles over there!" She pointed out then bursted out laughing, I was genuinely shocked when she said that out of nowhere and I could tell that Nick was too because he got speechless there for a few minutes.

"Oh yeah? Well you look like that horse over there." He said while pointing at the horse with the blonde mane on the carousel. My eyes widen because of his comeback and Summer clearly wasn't ready for that because she just had the same expression as mine.

"Stop it Nick!" I said then slapped his leg under the table but immediately went close to his ear to whisper.

"Just kidding, keep it coming babe." I said with a small voice for the couple in front of us would not hear me and we just laughed there until someone butt in.

"Adorable. Can we just go to the rides please?" Roman said then left us without another word.

"Babe, wait!" Summer shouted trying to catch up to him, leaving us two with puzzled faces.

"What's wrong with him?" I said to myself but it looks like Nick heard me.

"Probably on his period" Nick joked and I just gave him a small smile before leaving the food court to follow Summer and Roman.

We went first to the roller coaster then the carousel and the rides that we rode just went on and on, we would stop to go grab some snacks and drinks then went back to the games. I'm not gonna lie but I was actually having fun. We were all enjoying it that we forgot all the issues between the four of us.

"Oooh...let's go to the horror house!" Summer suggested before running all the way to the entrance, leaving us no choice but to follow her.

As we get closer and closer inside the haunted house, my hands were getting clammy and my heart started beating erratically. I can really get scared when I'm in the dark and I was really easy to get victimized with all the jump scares.

"I'm scared." I confessed to Nick then held his hand tightly.

"It's okay I will hold you close alright? I'll never let you go." He assured me then kissed my forehead which somehow made me feel protected.

After a few minutes we finally got inside the dark horror house and I can hear the distant screams from other people inside which made the experience scarier. We just followed Summer and Roman who was in front of us, I was looking around the house and saw a realistic looking doll hanging from the ceiling making me gasp then looked away only to be scared by a man holding a knife. We ran for our lives, I looked back to see if he was gone but he was still chasing us making me ran faster.

"Alex!" That's the last thing I heard before everything around me became quiet and dark, realizing that I was now alone. The lights around the house started to flicker in a fast motion and the speakers boomed a sound of an evil laugh which made me shake in horror.

"Stop! Make it stop!" I tried to convince myself that all of this was not true but fear just dawned over me until I felt a pair of arms wrap around me.

"Oh my gosh Nick is that you? Don't let me go again." I can't see his face because the room was so dark and instead of an answer he just tighten his hold around me and I buried my face on his chest to get my eyes away from the horrific sight around me.

After walking in what felt like an hour, he let go of me making me think that we're already outside but we're still inside. I took a few steps forward until I saw an employee opening the door for me but before I stepped out I looked around to see where Nick went.

"Alex! I was so worried about you." There I saw Nick waiting for me outside with Summer beside him.

"I thought you were already outside so I immediately went out but you weren't here." He hugged me but what he said made me confuse. If he wasn't the one that led me out here then who did?

"Roman! There you are." I heard Summer, who was standing in front of us, said then let out a sigh of relief.

Roman passed by me, our hands slightly brushing against each other. My body froze when I smell the familiar scent, it's the same scent from the one who hugged me earlier inside the horror house.

No it can't be him.

This update is called the 'Trying to make it up to you' chapter, that's why I made it longer for you guys.

But let us talk about the mini Shield reunion on Raw like I can't even right now

By the way, thank you so much for all the support that you've given to this story and for staying from the beginning and hopefully to the end.

Just to clarify, I'm not going to stop in writing this story or delete it. I really want to finish it (it's on my bucket list haha) its just that the update is slow so please bear with me.
