The morning light flooded the hallways. Reiko weakly opened her eyes. She realized she had slept in the hallway and woke up in a pool of sweat and tears. Her eyes were still drowsy as if she had kept her eyes open all night and didn't blink. Her throat felt dry and her skin was pale. Her limbs went stiff and became painful. When she realized she woke in the hallway, she remembered everything that took place last night. She got up and charged into Yukio's room.
Reiko's blood ran cold as she met with the disastrous scene in the room. The mirrors were broken. The broken chairs and tables with the broken pieces of glass were scattered everywhere. What shocked Reiko more was the drops of blood making a trail around the room as if someone had been dragged from place to place.
"YUKIO!!" Reiko screamed. Her heart thudded against her chest as she ran across the room, looking for Yukio. Suddenly, the door clicked behind Reiko and Yukio walked in with deep scars and scratches. There were deep wounds on his wrists caked with dried blood and ripped flesh. As Yukio saw Reiko, he fixed his gaze on her.
One of his eyes were blue and the other was red.
Reiko gasped in shock.
"You can see them..." Yukio said barely whispering. He kept his unblinking gaze on Reiko. Reiko somehow got the idea what he was talking about. That glowing figure wasn't just anybody; it was Yukio's dead uncle that was murdered twelve years before. The time slowed between them as the realization hit her.
"I'm sorry you had to see that." Yukio said coming back to his normal state as he diverted his gaze from Reiko. He carefully wrapped some bandages around his wrists without making any expression. Then Reiko suddenly took notice of his bare chest. There were deep gushes where the flesh was pulled out as if something had bit him. There were countless scars in every inch of skin, new as well as old.
Reiko didn't think she'd be able to speak again. Yukio turned and walked towards the door as if Reiko wasn't even there. But suddenly he stopped for a moment by the door without turning around.
"I'm sorry."
Those words hit Reiko like stone. Why was he apologizing? What's happening to him?
Why can't I help him? What's wrong with me?
The tears dripped down her cheeks and chin. All the tears were rushing out but why weren't the feelings? Why did her heart feel so heavy like it was carrying a painful boulder? She hadn't cried this much in a long time. Last time, it was because of Ame. Reiko winced.
I couldn't do anything back then either...
Now, when I can help Yukio...
I'm unable to do anything!
Her subconscious was screaming at her in anger and sadness. Her heart was going to burst. Why couldn't she do anything? Why was she the one feeling so helpless when Yukio was the one who need her?
What's happening to Yukio?
Who was that last night?
Why is Yukio covered in so many scars?
Reiko felt her knees weak again. She was ready to scream. The silent insanity was engulfing her in its arms of misery and doom. She cringed. All she wanted to do now was grab Yukio and never let him go. All she wanted to do was protect him. Even if it meant choosing it over her own life.

This was the remaining part of this story, which I wrote around the time I posted the last chapter. This hadn't been uploaded so, I thought why not do it (if there is anyone who'll bother reading this). All I can say is, this story is most likely discontinued due to the corrupted plot and other things. Thank you for following me all the way here!
Much love from Kitteh~
