Finally after finding the piano room she gave her surroundings a quick look and spotted the door with a silver ‘Room 12’ sign.

So this is my room…?

She placed her hands on the silver doorknob and turn it effortlessly. The door swung open and she peeked in. The whole room smelled like fresh flowers and roses. The bed had already been made and was covered in baby pink bed sheets. The same soft khaki carpet was laid out on the floor.

Reiko walked in trying to keep her sanity. The carpet made the sole of her feet feel extra warm as soon as she came in. She looked around saw that a large balcony on her left and another door on her right. She sauntered towards the door and again, effortlessly opened it, revealing that flowery smell and creamy white lights. As she peeked in she saw a large tub with crystalline taps and a sink to its side and a toilet on the opposite direction. Fresh baby pink towels were placed on a rod on the wall.

I…don’t even know what to say…

She turned back and closed the door, facing the balcony.

“I check that out later…” She said to herself as she dragged her feet to the bed and sat down. She yelped slightly as the bed went down as soon as she sat.

Wow, this is so squishy...

“I should-“

A loud bell could be heard be heard echoing through the hall.

“Damn, It’s nine already?” Reiko turned and faced the clock.

She grabbed the pair of slippers she spotted on the floor and hurried downstairs.

“I said for you to be down nine not come down at nine.”

Reiko spotted by Yukio standing by the stairs untying the cooking apron.

“S-sorry. I was getting ready,” Reiko stammered climbing down the stairs.” I didn’t hear the bell going off.”

“Well it doesn’t seem like it…”

Yukio turned and walked into the kitchen with Reiko following behind him. The smell of barbequed chicken filled Reiko’s nose. Reiko thought she would faint when she looked at the dinner table.

“You…set the table?”

Yukio looked up at Reiko who was standing still with a surprised face.

“Yeah, I did. Is there something wrong with it?”

“No… It’s just-Never mind…”

Ugh, my thoughts don’t even make sense now.

“Well come and sit.” Yukio said as he pulled out a chair for Reiko.

She came and sat carefully not wanting to mess anything up. More than anything, the shinning silverware caught her attention. Then, the almost radiant white sheet spread on the table. The blood red roses in the glass vase, made her stop and think about whether she was in a dream or in reality.

“What happened to you? You seem spaced out after coming here.”

Yukio looked at Reiko in a questioning manner while handing her a soup spoon. Reiko took the spoon and but didn’t answer. She dipped the spoon and brought it to her lips and sipped the hot and spicy soup. She paused a bit trying to get the fragrance coming from the soup making her nose tingle. It had been a long time since she tasted something as wonderful as this.

“I’m sorry if it tastes bad. Mika isn’t here so I have to do a lot around the house nowadays”

Reiko glanced up and saw Yukio looking at her again as if he was observing the chain of expressions on Reiko’s face.
