Pacific is with the Diamonds, so many thousand years ago, she had a mission in Earth: to make sure the machines in the Kindergarten where doing okay. It was an easy job. Go to Earth, see if the machines were fine, then return to Homeworld. It was all going fine until she met an animal. A bunny, to be exact. She fell in love with the bunny with brown fur and long ears. She thought; 'If the Kindergarten continues making bad gems, this bunny and all kind of life in Earth will die.' She couldn't bare with the thought that the little innocent creature in her arms would have to die because of the wish of Yellow Diamond. So she reported back to Homeworld saying the machines were fine, but someone had sabotaged them. Later she discovered the Diamonds were suspicious about Pacific's loyalty to them. So they put her in this test, although they already knew the machines were broken. So they abandoned her on Earth, but never actually told her she wasn't on the Diamonds.
