If she was on fire before, then this was a raging inferno, the entire world on fire. Rayne knew what she was doing. She knew what she wanted, knew what she needed. Was Avi willing to provide both? His restless and eager hands, digging at her back and tangling in her shirt, yet not attempting to remove it, and the sweet tenderness of his hungry kiss said yes, he was offering both. Their tongues teased and tangled as she literally clung to Avi. She had to breathe through her nose or breathe into him. Her mouth was occupied with his and not exactly focused on breathing. She felt wave after wave of passion and desire combined with sweet and tender caring radiate from him. It washed over and through her body as the kiss lingered on. She expected this to be a wild and rushed exchange. She was pleasantly surprised to find that despite the powerful hunger she felt and the fierce passion and arousal Avi displayed, this was a slow and gentle interaction. Only his body and hands betrayed his physical state and the power of his need. Avi was clearly very much in control of everything but his hands.
His tender manipulations seduced a soft moan from her that he matched with his own. She gripped Avi's shoulders and let her fingertips dig in just a tiny bit. She crushed her chest to his as she tried to crawl into him. Her heart was beating too hard, too fast, she felt like it was bound to explode. She mirrored Avi's every move, letting the rising tide of their emotions carry her away. Her hands wandered over his shoulders to his long neck and through his beard. She rested her fingertips near their joined lips. Slowly she let Avi's touch capture her heart, his warmth her soul. As his tongue gently wrestled with hers, he conquered her body and mind. She lost herself in the fury of emotion that his meandering hands incited in her. She was so very hungry for his touch, feverish with desire. She wanted him, yearned for him, needed and ached to feel Avi move in her. She needed to remove their clothing, and let their skin set each other on fire. She had to find out where that would lead them.
She breathed into him, releasing yet another long and hungry moan. Avi softly growled in return and tugged at her shirt more. She felt his heart racing, and pounding against her chest. His muscles flexed as he wrapped his arms around her and pulled her closer. She didn't resist him as he placed his hands firmly on her hips and raised his hips up to hers once more. Her breath rushed from her lungs, a powerful, delighted moan passed through her lips. Their connection noisily broke. As Avi breathed her in, a guttural sound erupted from his throat. She pulled away from him to look in his eyes. Instantly she wished she hadn't. His eyes were wild with excitement, full of lust and hunger, and tempered with a strong and strange emotion. The intensity of Avi's gaze made her nervous. What if this is all he wanted? She wondered how many women had sat atop him like this, how many had he bed once only to never take her to him again. Something in her face must have changed. She had never been very good at keeping her emotions out of her expressions. Avi was now looking at her dazed and confused, still a bit lost in his own thoughts and emotions. His lust still clinging to him.
"What is it?" Avi whispered. His voice was soft and deep. "Too much? Are we moving too fast?" He questioned. His voice was dreamy and distant with just a touch of fear and confusion mixed in, "Are you okay? We...um, we..." he stumbled over the words. Avi went on, his brows were creased in worry and concern. "We can go back to sleep?" He finally sputtered. He tried really hard to smile through his heartache and fear. He was failing.
Rayne wanted to know, had to know. Despite her bravado, she didn't want to be just another girl to him, just a number or a notch on his belt. Avi mattered to her and she wanted to matter to him. She knew one night with him would never suffice. She had to ask, didn't want to. She wasn't sure how.
"Um..., No, I mean yes, ugh. I'm fine." Her frustration rose into her voice. "It's just I...." it was her turn to struggle with expressing her thoughts, stumble and choke over the words she didn't want to say. "I really, really like you." She embarrassingly spewed, the color rising to her cheeks. Rayne could not know how beautiful she was to Avi at that moment with her cheeks all flushed and rosy. It was as if a teenaged girl had possessed her hormonal body and taken control of her mouth. Though she had sat up, pulling her body away from him, she hadn't really moved that much. Rayne was still straddling his hips. She looked down at Avi, terrified that she ruined the evening, as he waited patiently for her to continue. He smiled a soft and warm loving smile and quietly said.
