"I'm so sorry, I wasn't watching were I was going" I murmured to the breathtaking stranger.

"No, this one is on me," he said politely back, "You obviously couldn't see me coming and I just wasn't paying attention."

I bent down to pick up the books from the floor, but before I could even start the brown haired boy had already picked up and taken notice of one of the covers.

"Romeo and Juliet" he stated rather than asked. "Classic." And then he flashed the most brilliant smile I have ever seen. Did he not know it was like looking at the sun when he did that? Who knows how many innocent lives have been taken by that smile.

As the last of the books were picked up, our hands met on the very last hardcover. I felt a rush of electric currents wash through me, and when I looked up, our eyes met for a split second longer than normal. And in that split second, a thousand years passed. As I looked at the stranger fully for the first time, I realized that his sparkling brown eyes and flashy grin weren't the only astounding qualities about him. His flawless bronze hair just barely tickled his pronounced jawline, while little beauty marks occupied various places on his face. Then he pushed nature's limits about perfection even more when he stood up. One glance at his bulging arms and I knew he worked out religiously, not to mention his height of about 5'11" only added to the appearance of the godlike creature in front of me.

Then when I realized that I was so inferior to him, the rush of my normal insecure emotions and feelings hit me with a force of a thousand waves. My arms instinctually crossed in front of my torso and my face lit to a shade so red, it would put a lobster from the Maine coastline to shame.

"Why are you blushing?" the stanger asked followed by a husky laugh.

Oh I don't know, I thought sarcastically to myself, maybe because you are so ompossibly gorgeous? Thankfully before I could do something even more traumatizing to my first impression, he broke the silence.

"Well hey, how about to make up for colliding with you... we go to get some coffee? My treat." He added with a wink.

"Um, sure." I normally wouldn't even hesitate to say no to someone, but the thought of turning him down was unbearable. Plus i'm not so shy that I would turn down a cup of free joe.

We talked on that warm, California afternoon in front of the little Mocha Joe's coffee shop for what seemed like hours. Everything was mentioned from his irrational fear of water bugs and my dizzying phobia of public speaking, to his parent's heritage and my longing to read every book under the sun. For some reason, despite my overwhelming apprehensive personality, I didn't hold back. For once in my life, even taking into account my conversations with Trina, I felt like he was genuinely interested and cared for what ever came rambling out of my mouth. I felt like he knew everything about me before I even uttered a word.

"So, question for you. What is a girl like you doing out and about by herself? Isn't that kind of dangerous in such a big city?"

Trina's face instantly plopped into my mind. But I knew her, she was off in her own clothing fantasy world and probably wasn't even aware of the fact that I had been gone for the last couple hours.

"I'm not alone," I stated "My bestfriend Trina is shopping. Hoenstly, she probably hasn't even noticed i'm not there." I laughed, Trina was funny that way.

"I find it hard to believe that your presence is that unimportant to her. I'll let you go back to your friend.. i'm sure she misses you." Another wink escaping from his brown eyes, causing my face to ignite into the bright fire red tone from before.

"And there's that blush again," He noticed with a laugh causing me to somehow burn even brighter. "I'll hopefully see you again."

"Yeah, you too" I smiled in return while I started back towards Trina and her fantasy castle.

"Oh hey!" the brown haired boy shouted as we headed our seperate ways, "I was having such an amazing time I didn't catch your name." He said showing off his pearly whites.

Wow, we practically just told eachother our life stories and we aren't even on a first name basis.

"I'm Courtney." I replied.

"Well hi there Courtney" My name sounding magical on his tongue. "My name is Leo."
