Chapter 1

Wolf Girl - chapter 1

Hey, guys! This is my first fanfic/story. It is not exactly a fanfic but I used some powers and places from anime. I have characters from Naruto, but it will not really follow the story line. I will, however, include major and/or my favourite fights.

3rd person pov

Nova jumps from tree to tree through the forest as her wolf tail streams out behind her. Injuries she had gathered over the past month from escaping bounty hunters and robbers, sting and burn with every move she makes. She almost falls from a tree as a kunai is flung past her, but manages to grab a branch at the last second.

Nova lets out a cry as she is grabbed from behind, and tackled to the ground. She lands with a painful thud on the ground, unable to break her fall due to the fact that her hands had been so conveniently wrenched behind her back.

"Who are you and why are you so close to Konoha?!" one guy yells while flipping her onto her back. She glares back defiantly, refusing to speak a word. Nova jerks her head back, as she hears a bored sigh from behind her.

"Tie her up." A man commands from behind her, "We can give her to the Hokage." Nova lets out a low growl, not liking the idea of being tied up. She grits her teeth, as she is pulled roughly to her feet with the last person, a girl, coming up from behind and binding her hands tightly with wire.

Nova's pov

"Come on." the guy quite obviously in charge says bored. I grit my teeth as I am pushed forward. After walking for a good half hour, I see huge red gates come into view. Before long we are in front of them, and I have to crane my neck back to see the top.

"Keep walking." The guy behind me says, in an annoyed tone. We walk through the gates, and I see two people asleep in a booth of some sort. By the look of things, they were meant to be on guard duty but had fallen asleep. Idiots.

"KOTETSU! IZUMO! WAKE UP YOU IDIOTS!" The so-called Kotetsu and Izumo jerk to their feet in fright. "What!?" they yell together, before turning and facing each other and yell as one, "STOP COPYING ME! ME? I'M NOT COPYING YOU, YO-"

"SHUT UP!" The guy pushing me yells. They both stand up straight and look at him in a hurry, nodding firmly. "Good, now we are going to see the Hokage, and you are going to stay here and guard the gates." He says as if daring them to disagree with him. They nod again, not risking speaking. The guy in charge lets out a weary sigh, before beckoning us forward.

I hurry forward, eager to avoid being pushed and shoved by the guy behind me. We walk through the village, with me trying vainly to ignore the scrutinising gazes the civilians send me. I tense up, feeling uncomfortable with a large number of people. I hadn't been surrounded by this many people since my clan was massacred 5 years ago. Nope. Don't think about that. No need for those memories to surface.

Suddenly a hand grabs my shoulder, stopping me walking. I look up in surprise, I had been so deep in thought I hadn't even noticed us arrive. Meh, I always did have focus issues. I take a deep breath as the dude in charge knocks on an oak wood door. I just realise I still don't know my captors' names. I mean it's not like I exactly told them mine either, but still.

"Come in." A gruff voice calls from inside. I suddenly freeze. I have always been bad with people unless I am mad or fighting them. I shake my head and hold myself up. I refuse to let them see how scared I was. I walk into the room, looking at an old man sitting at a large desk covered in paperwork.

He is wearing white and red robes and holds a pipe in his hand. His old face holds years of experience and wisdom; his kind eyes seem to peer down into my soul. The group that kidnapped me bows down with respect.

"I take it the mission was a success?" the person who I gather is the Hokage asked. "Yes, Hokage-sama. I shall give you a full mission report later, but for now, we have a small problem on our hands." With that said, he pulled the rope binding my wrists, causing me to stumble forward.

"Who are you?" the Hokage asked kindly. I shrug, before muttering "Nova. My name's Nova Fujiwara." The Hokage studies me for a second, before replying, "I know you are telling the truth because of your ears and tail. But I thought the Fujiwara clan was massacred."

I sigh remembering things that I'd rather not remember. "It was. I'm the last member." The Hokage looks slightly shocked, before calmly saying, "Then where have you been living?"

I look at my feet before, avoiding eye contact. "In the forest. In trees. In abandoned houses and caves. Just around." He looks at me in pity before rifling around with the paperwork on his desk and handing me a backpack.

"I want you to join the leaf," he says with a smile "Everything you need is in this bag. Money, weapons, a change of clothes and minor medical supplies and dried food for missions. There are keys to an apartment in there and I will add you as the 4th member of a team. And of course, there is this." He adds, handing me a black Konoha headband."

He smiles at me before adding, "Kyoko will take you to team 7, the cell I'm adding you on." I look at him, struggling to absorb everything he just said before sighing, "fine" I mutter reluctantly. As the girl, Kyoko grabs my shoulder and we disappear in a poof.
