Chapter 3

Nova's pov

Lexi immediately scoops me onto her back and leaps into a tree. I look down to see Naruto yelling at Kakashi about something,

"me and you Kakashi head-on, one on one, right now!" with that said, Naruto runs into a headlong attack against Kakashi. I face palm. How could anyone be so stupid? You are a genin Naruto, he's a jonin.

Kakashi suddenly takes out a book, causing Naruto to stop in his tracks.

"well, are you going to attack?" Kakashi asks.

"yeah well I was but you took out a book."

Kakashi laughs, "it won't make a difference whether or not I'm reading if I fight someone like you."

"I'm gonna make you eat those words, Kakashi-sensei!" Naruto yells running towards Kakashi with his fist raised. Kakashi simply dodges, and appears behind Naruto so fast you can hardly see him move.

Kakashi crouches down and raised his hands in the tiger seal.

"Konoha's secret technique: Thousand years of pain." With that said he shoves his fingers up Naruto's butt. I snicker quietly to myself, no wonder it's so secret. Beside me, I feel Lexi shaking with barely contained laughter. I nudge her, before whispering,

"let's take a crack it." I feel her nod beside me. I point forwards and bend my finger. We charge forwards, Lexi starting drawing water from the lake into a huge dragon like creature, her eyes glowing silver as she does so. The dragon shoots forward towards Kakashi as he forms some seals to stop it.

I silently creep forward using my hunting technique, that I developed from spending years in the wild. I increase my nails length and turn them to claws before slice through the strings connecting the 2 bells to Kakashi. He turns to look at me as soon as the weight changes.

I wave at him before disappearing. I end up in a tree with Lexi by my side. I sigh and go to find the others to give them the bells. While watching Naruto fight Lexi explained the test and the answer. I finally find Sasuke give him the bell, and disappear before he has a chance to react.

The alarm rings as soon as I give the last bell to Sakura, so I begin to walk back with Lexi.

I walk into the clearing to see Naruto tied to a post.

"He tried to eat," Lexi whispers in my ear. I nod in understanding before sitting on a post and zoning out.

I am jolted back to reality by Sasuke trying to give me his bell. I look at it, not understanding.

"here." He says, "you fought and won it, so rightfully it's yours." I smile slightly at him before taking the bell.

"No Sasuke-Kun." Sakura speaks up from next to us, "take mine. I can always go back to the academy." As Sasuke takes the bell, a question mark appears above my head. Ugh... what happened when I was zoning out?

"I guess you finally understand teamwork." Says Kakashi, "You all pass." What? The clearing erupts into happy cheers, as I look around in confusion.

"As a reward, how about I take you guys to ramen?" Kakashi asks.

"no thanks," I say before anyone can say anything, "I might just go home." With that I turn around and sprint off, leaving my teammates staring at my backs in confusion, trying to work out what that was about.
