LONE WOLF Naruto Fanfiction (on Hold)

Chapter 2

Nova's pov

I blink as we are suddenly poofed onto a rooftop somewhere. I look around only to see 4 people staring at me; a man with silver gravity defying hair and a mask covering the majority of his face, a hyperactive blonde by in an orange jumpsuit, an emo kid looking like he didn't want to be there, and a pink haired girl, absolutely drooling over the emo guy.

Kyoko speaks up from beside me, "this is Nova. She joining your team." With that short introductory speech, (if it can even be called that) she disappears in a poof. I remain silent as the others study me. Something that does not make me very happy at all.

Suddenly the silver haired man talks, breaking the silence "we were just about to introduce ourselves. I'm your sensei Kakashi, I don't really want to tell you my likes or dislikes, and I have never really thought about my dreams. Your turn pinkie."

I zone out as they begin introducing themselves, picking up on only minor info, like; the Pinkett's name is Sakura, the emo guy's name is Sasuke and the hyperactive jellybean is Naruto.

Before too long it's my turn. "umm, my name is Nova. I like wolves, drawing darkness, night and rainy days. I hate people, hugs, and the sun. Oh and ducks. I hate ducks."

They all looked a little-taken back by my introduction. Kakashi cleared his throat, "Oh. Well okay. Anyway, let's meet tomorrow at 7:00 am in training field 4. For those of you who don't know," he said raising an eyebrow at me and pointing North, "it's that way." I pretty much zone out for the rest of his instructions, hearing something about breakfast, and a test.

Time skip

It's about 5am and I've almost finished packing my bag. I know we have 2hours until we meet Kakashi, but I'm an insomniac and I haven't slept since I was 3. Dang 9 years. That's got to be some kind of record.

I sigh and grab an apple as I walk out the door. I spent most of the night walking around Konoha so I know the way around pretty well. I arrive at the training grounds an hour and a half early, so I quickly scale a tree and pull out my sketch book.

After a while, I sigh and put it away. I'm so bored and I need company. My ears twitch as I bite down on my thumb and draw blood before performing the seals needed to summon one of the wolves from my pack.

In a poof, Lexi appears before me. Her dark blue fur with sky blue tips on her ears and tail shine in the morning light. She instantly spots me and barrels into me as I run my fingers through her soft silky fur.

"NOVA!" she shouts in joy, playfully tugging my tail in her jaws. I laugh and scratch behind her ears as she falls into a heap on the ground. And that's how we stay until the others show up. Her lying happily on the ground with her tongue lolling out of her mouth, and me leaning my back against her staring at the clouds.

Peaceful. Until the others showed up. The walked up, with Naruto and Sakura arguing, and Sasuke looking like he wanted to kill the two. I and Lexi could hear them long before they showed up thanks to our canine hearing, but as soon as they got into eyesight, Lexi was sighting up and alert.

I sigh and stand up causing Lexi to do the same. I grin as the trio freezes, seeing my massive shoulder height wolf.

"Naruto, Sakura, Sasuke meet Lexi. Lexi meet Naruto, Sakura and Sasuke." I laugh as they cautiously approach my wolf, as Lexi looks around at them wearily. Naruto tentatively reaches a hand forwards, allowing Lexi to sniff it, before carefully stroking her head.

He laughs "Your wolf's fur is so soft, Nova."

"Her name is Lexi"

"Well Lexi," he says laughing, "you have the softest fur ever."

Soon all my teammates are patting Lexi before we settle down and wait for Kakashi to show up. After almost 2 hours he does

"You're late!" Naruto and Sakura, yell at him

"Got lost on the path of life" he replies nonchalantly, taking in Lexi and sweat dropping, before shaking his head and clearing himself of any thoughts he had and explaining the rules of the bell test. I couldn't care less and pay no attention, knowing that I'll either find out later what he said, or Lexi would tell me. Eventually, he finishes and says in a "daunting" tone,

"Let the bell test begin."
