It was around three in the afternoon when Jean arrived to the park. She was dressed in a beautiful whit and loose dress perfect for maternity, white flats and a headband in her red locks. She looked around for the 6’5, blonde and blue eyed man with long hair, Robert Reynolds. Jean walked around the park, when she came across a playground that unlike many she had seen before, was only being used by one child. She sighed happily while watching the unknown child play around. She was honest with herself, Sam had always been an independent child—Never wanted to go to the playground, play or even meet kids. She was something of an advanced mind. Jean, of course had no trouble with that but even so, she knew she had missed out on a lot of Sam’s childhood. Jean turned around and spotted a swing set. She smirked devilishly as she walked to the swing. “I /really/ hope I don’t break this…” She told herself quietly. Carefully, Jean adjusted herself into the swing and started to push it herself with her foot, slowly. She chuckled softly as went back and forth at a pace any other child would have found incredibly boring.

In part it was because her childhood had ended too quickly. At the age of ten, she witnessed her best friend get ran over and killed. Of course, that was the same day her powers first manifested and left her comatose. Though the coma didn’t last long, the catatonia did—

Jean felt a gentle push to the swing that couldn’t have come from the wind. She immediately knew it was the exact man she was waiting for. It was Robert. She turned her head around and grinned widely.

“Hey you.” Robert said.

“Hey there.” Jean greeted back, “It’s been a long time; How’s you?” She asked. Robert walked to the swing next to Jean’s and sat down, rocking it gently. “I’ve been good, I couldn’t be any more happier. My wife, my baby girl and unborn child, and the fact that I’m talking to my best friend, I really can’t ask for more. How about you, Jeannie? How’s baby Summers treating you? How’s the baby doing?” Robert said, obviously making a pun about the baby and Alex. Jean laughed, knowing Robert’s sense of humor. “He’s good. Honestly, he couldn’t be more loving and sweet. It makes me feel so warm and cuddly, really.” Jean blushed as she told Robert. “That’s good, Jeannie. But if he does hurt you, I /will/ throw him into the sun.” Robert said with a sly smirk much to Jean’s dismay. Robert chuckled and looked at Jean. “So what are we here to do? Practice all the running around we’ll have to do once these little monsters get together? Because I gotta say, Jeannie, I can fly and you can mind control them.” Robert winked.jean rolled her eyes and laughed, “Though that is actually a perfect idea.” She said. Robert sat up on the swing and looked at her more seious this time. “So what happened?” He asked. Jean shrugged and shook her head. “Dunno. Something took over me and I wanted to talk to you for no reason at all. But now that you’re here, I want you to promise me something.” Jean said with a deep sigh, as if still contemplating whether or not to make Robert commit to her wish. Robert nodded, “Yeah anything you need, Jeannie.”

“Promise me, if anything ever happens to me, you’ll look out after Brie and Alex…”

Robert looked at her motionless. “Jean… what is going on?” He asked her, scared of what her words might be.

Jean shook her head, “No, nothing. It’s just that me, well, being me, death is bound to happen, no?” She said.

Robert shook his head. “It’s preventable. But either way, as much as I dispise Alexander I--  I’ll make sure him and Brie are fine. But I don’t want to think about death. It shouldn’t be in our minds right now.” He said, trying to comfort Jean. She looked at him and smiled. “Yeah, you’re right, my baby and Alex are my reason to fight, to live.” She looked at Rob with a smile and extended her hand, grabbing his. “And you’ve got three beautiful reasons to fight as well. You’re a family man and no one, hear me out, no one can take that away from you.” She said. Robert sighed and nodded. “I love her with all my life, Jeannie. MJ changed me from the core and out. I don’t even know if I deserve her sometimes—“ He was cut short by Jean, who tilted her head. “Robert Reynolds, you deserve that woman more than anything in this world. I’ve never witnessed a love more pure than this one, homestly.” She reassured him. “Thanks Jeannie. Somehow, you brighten my world singlehandedly.” Robert said, making Jean blush lightly. “Ohhh, shush you!” She replied.

They walked for a couple of hours, joking around about nothing in particular and sharing parenting advice. “Well, I got to go. I need to get home before Alex starts worrying—Which, by the way, he wanted me to tell you that he will never forgive you for hitting him in the testicles after finding out I was pregnant… Tough luck.” Jean said. Robert laughed, “He better not get you pregnant again. Actually, he better not touch you ever again.” He crossed his arms and frowned. Jean, too, frowned. “I’ve got womanly needs too, you know.” She said. “I’ll kill Havok…” He shot back. “I’ll cut you out…” She retaliated with a smirk. Robert sighed. “Fair enough.”
