The next day, the armies were once more facing each other, renewed blood lust shined brightly in their eyes as they stared each other down. The sun rose above the sea behind the Underworld Army, their shadows became long on the landscape. The land was quiet till the war horns sounded out followed by the drums of the other army and then they charged at each other. Hermione notched an arrow into her bow and raised it, Nyx following behind her with the rest of the army.

"Ready!" Hermione called out and she waited for the army from Mt. Hogwarts to get closer, "Aim!" a couple more steps and they were in line, "Fire!"

"Fire!" Nyx echoed Hermione and they released their arrows. The feathered cloud of death fell down upon the land like rain, pinning their victims to the ground.

Hecate and Thantos flew above the land, falling behind the arrows, and began to drop potions and threw spells at the enemy below. By the time the ghosts got to the enemy, the whole front legion had been taken out. Draco and Hermione felt victory rise up in their veins as they watched the other army scamper back to the foothills of Mt. Hogwarts. Their friends beside them in the chariots felt it too and held triumphant smiles on their faces save Ron (Hephaestus). He watched the army flee as a bad feeling rose up through his veins. His bronze, blue eyes narrowed in on Hannah at the back of the army through his telescope in his hands. He watched as she turned to Harry and whispered something in his ear. Harry, in return, rose from the chariot a conch shell and Ron's eyes widened. Taking the reins of his tan horses, he smacked their rear ends hard and sent them racing toward Draco and Hermione's chariot.

"Hermione!" he called out to her as the chariot came up next to hers. But he was too late for the sound of a conch shell echoed deeply across the land.

"Oh no," Hermione's eyes widened and she turned around to look out at the ocean, reflecting gold and pink in the morning sun.

"What-?" Draco asked as he turned around too. He stopped midsentence when he saw metal helmets rising out of the waves, "Oh, shit!" he yelled out and turned to Ron, "Take your toys and see if you can help stop them and any immortals you may need."

Ron's face broke out into a mischievous smirk, "All I need is the Amazonians."

"You have them," Draco said and motioned for him to go, "Now, hurry!" Ron snapped the rains again and his chariot ran off toward the legion of Amazonians to their right. Draco turned to Hermione, "Hermione, I want you stay here with the chariot," he handed her the reins.

She took them, "Where do you think you're going?"

She asked this as Draco motioned for Lily (Athena), Astoria (Artemis), Blaise (Apollo), Pansy (Hestia), Erebus and Nyx, and Morpheus and Hypnos to come to him, "It's time that I met my brother on the battlefield."

"No! Draco," she dropped the reins and took a step toward him, "What are you doing?"

Draco ignored her as he gave orders to the immortals, "Lily (Athena) stay here with Hermione. Blaise (Apollo) and Astoria (Artemis), I want you to go to the beach and see if Ron (Hephaestus) needs help to hold back Neville's (Poseidon) army," they nodded and ran off together to the beach, a bolt of gold and silver, "Erebus and Nyx, do the same for Harry's army here," they nodded and sprinted of toward Mt. Hogwarts, "Morpheus and Hypnos, can you work your way into the camp and see you can find Hannah (Demeter)?"

"Of course," Morpheus smiled and grabbed Hypnos' hand and sprinted off to the north to go around the armies.

    "Draco!" Hermione screech for him.

"Pansy (Hestia)," Draco turned to his close friend from Mt. Hogwarts, "Will you help me?"

Pansy smirked dangerously, her soft green eyes sparkling dangerously, "Of course."

"Draco!" Hermione yelled, Lily holding her back. Lily's eyes glistened at the realization of what was going on.

Draco turned to her, finally noticing she was there, "I'm protecting you, Hermione."

"Why are you doing this now? Let me help like I did yesterday," Hermione tried to reason with him.

"Yesterday was different and I was foolish. Lavender and Antonius' wedding made me realize how easily I could lose you and I'm not risking that today," Draco said and stepped toward her, "Please, Hermione, let me protect you as you did for me with Harry at that party of his a couple days ago."

"Draco," Hermione whined, "Please, let me help!"

"Draco," Pansy came up next to him, "We need to go, Harry's chariot is attacking the left flank."

Draco nodded and looked into Hermione's eyes, cupping her cheek gently, "Be safe, my love," and he and Pansy were gone.

"No!" Hermione screech in Lily's arms, "Draco! No!"

She knew what he was doing now and her heart shattered in her chest. Harry was the only one who had the power to bodily hurt an immortal and kill a whole legion since he was king and Draco knew that if he was not taken down, this battle would never end. Pansy was the only one who could calm Harry down in such a way as to knock him out. Hermione began to cry and she felt her soul slowly start to disintegrate at the realization of all of this. Draco was sacrificing himself to allow Pansy to take down Harry.
