Ugh. I was hit on the head pretty hard, so now I have a  really bad headache. Stone. I feel stone. And iron. A cell? I don't know. Slowly, I got up, shaking my head as my vision faded in and out, trying to stabilize itself. I opened my eyes and tried to look around. Cuffs attached to chains were on my ankles and wrists.

My gaze focused and landed on a door. I tried to run to it, but gasped. "Ouch! Huh? Stupid chains! What is this place?" The chains had pulled me back, hurting me. Obviously a stupid question, I realized after saying that. I'm at King Koopa's castle, obviously.

I heard a loud sound. The door! I grabbed my hammers. I did my best not to make any motions showing fear, and to keep calm. The door opened and a mouse came in. "What do you want?!?" I snarled, trying to be brave.

"Oh, nothing." The mouse said. "My name is Mouser. What is yours?"

"Hammer Bro." I growled.

"Hmph." Mouser said. "You look a bit different from our Hammer Bros. More sinister. And more brightly colored. But you are still green, and you still have hammers, green shoes, and a green helmet. So, I take it that you are telling the truth."

"Why would I lie!?!" I snapped.

"Because you want out."

"But I will need an escort home, and my brothers are coming to get me." I said. "And, besides, I will find a way out on my own."

"Good luck with that." Mouser said. "You're in King Koopa's Castle. He's sharp."

"But I'm clever." I said softly. "I'll find a way out that no one will see coming."

"Whatever." Mouser said. "I will be back tomorrow morning. I will secretly help you."

"My hammers can take care of the chains, and anything else that gets in my way." I snapped. "I won't need your  help."

He just shrugged, and left. Good. I thought. Now to put my plan into action. Tonight. I need to get out as soon as possible.
