Gold and Goldie

My hammers quickly took care of the chains. All right. I thought. Almost out.

Suddenly, I heard a "No." It sounded like one of my Bros. I thought that they would be looking for me. I listened and heard two voices.

"What did you say?" Unmistakably King Koopa's voice.

"No." The Bro's voice said. "I will not give you any more. I've had it!"

Any more what? I thought.

"Do you want me to kill your girlfriend?" King Koopa asked.

A gasp came from the Bro. "Yo, you wouldn't!"

"I would, and I will." King Koopa said. "Unless you give me more gold."

I could hear crying as I froze. A Gold Bro? Thier real?

The Bro said "Yo, stop! Your sick! But I will comply. I have too. Please! Just don't hurt her!" And he summoned some gold and gave it to King Koopa. When he was done, King Koopa left. "Goldie!" The Noki's nickname? "Gold Noki, are you okay?"

I froze again. Gold Nokis exist?

"I... I'm fine." I heard a shaking, but definitely Noki voice.

"Oh, thank goodness."

I was too hurt. He was threatening a Bro with the one he loved? The Gold Bro was right. That IS sick. Change of plans. I need to help them, too. I broke down the door and ran for their cell. "Oh, no, not again. Leave us alone!"

"Yo, it's okay, guys." I said. "My name's Hammer Bro, but call me Hammer. Are you Gold Bro and Gold Noki?"

"Yeah. Just call me Gold." There was no mistaking the golden armour and shell. Gold said. "Why? What..."

"Outta the way. I'm springing you. Just be quiet." I told them, then broke down the door when Gold and Goldie moved.

I spotted a loose panel on the ceiling. "Yo, how convenient. We can escape through there." They nodded, so I lifted them up and they went into it. They turned and reached thier hands down and lifted me up to join them. We quickly gound the exit and got out. "Let's go." I said, leading the way to the portal. We ran through the woods to a clearing. The Warp Pool was right above us.

"You two look alike." Goldie noted.

"I know." I said. Then I turned my attention to the Warp Pool and pointed. "Through that Warp Pool is the Gateway home for all of us and yes, Gold Noki, Goldie, right?" I asked.
She nodded.

"The other Nokis look like you." I told her.

We heard an evil laugh and looked up and saw King Koopa with his Lakitu. They were looking around for us. We hid. I saw a rope lower to the ground. Bowser Jr., Ice, and Fire slid down.
I heard Gold gasp when he saw Ice. "He's still alive?"

"Yeah." I replied. "He's my brother Ice Bro, but we call him Ice. Why? Yo, what do you mean by 'He's still alive?'"

"I thought he was my brother when I got kidnapped..." Gold mumbled. That confused me. I'm gonna ask him about it later.

They looked around. Princess Toadstool and Toad appeared. They welcomed my Bros, but they questioned Bowser Jr.

"He's cool." Ice said. "He's one of us."

"My name is Prince Bowser Koopa Jr., call me Bowser Jr., and we are looking for Hammer." Bowser Jr. said.

"I'm Princess Toadstool, and this is Toad." Princess Toadstool said.

"Hello." Toad said.

I wanted to run to them, but the sight of King Koopa banished those thoughts from my mind.

"Get down!" Gold whisper-yelled. I nodded and ducked down and into the undergrowth. We kept watching.

I looked up. No one else came down.

"They must care a lot about you." Gold murmured. "Certainly more then Ice ever cared about me."

"Yeah, and now, I studied the patterns on your shell." I said.

"Yeah, and......"

"Our patterns are the same."

"Your point?"

"We are related."
