We walked to the dungeons and I motioned him to stop. We stopped. I listened. I thought I had heard something. I listened, but heard nothing. Then I shrugged and kept walking. It's probably nothing. I thought to myself.

"Something wrong?" Gold asked.

"I just thought I heard something. But I couldn't hear it. It's probably nothing." I assured him.

He nodded, and we resumed walking. It's nothing. I thought to myself.

Boy, was I wrong.

I heard it again, this time louder. I motioned Gold to stop, and I listened again. "Do you hear that?"

"Depends."

"A... dripping sound."

"Yeah. You hear it too?"

"Yeah. I thought I heard it before, but it was so faint. So I had shrugged it off." I said.

He nodded. "Understandable."

We walked on in silence, listening to the calming sound of dripping water.
Then I saw some ice. It was melting.
"Do you see that?" I whispered to Gold.

"The ice? Yeah." Gold whispered back. "That's odd. Ice can't form down here naturally. It's too warm."

"So someone with an ice ability had to create it." I whispered.

He nodded, and we stealthilly apporched the ice.

I looked in the cell, through the melting ice, and saw Ice. Gold growled and clinched his jaw. After what he told me Ice did, I would be upset too. But I also know that now is not the time, and Gold knew it, too. The ice is melting, so he was slowly dieing. I wanted to stop and help, but I knew that there was my misson. Lukas first.

We tried to sneak past him, but he noticed me. Toadstool, Mario, Luigi, Toad, Fire, and Bowser Jr. looked up at me.

"What?" I asked. "I'm busy. I will come back, though. Something..... Lukas!"

"Hi." Lukas said. He was hiding behind Princess Toadstool.

"Hi. Well, be quiet." I hammered the doors down, then lead them to the loose tile. Gold helped them unto the opening, but then we heard King Koopa coming. There wasn't enough time for everyone to get through. But Gold is a life saver. I told them to go to the Witch Docter's place and we'll meet them there. They nodded and left. Gold set down a device he made and it gave off a screen that we hid behind. We waited.

After about ten minutes, King Koopa was screaming, and stomped out of the dungeons. Smiling, I helped Gold through the tile, and he pulled me up. We escaped through there. We went to the Witch Docter's place together. We met up with everyone.

"Is everyone alright?" I asked them. They nodded. "Okay. Now all we have to do is be smart, make it the the portal, get through it, and seal it so we could never mix again."

Gold then walked up and slapped Ice, making him fall to the ground. Ice felt his cheek. "What the heck? What was that for?"

"For leaving me to die."

"Leaving you to- how could I leave you to die?! I've never even met you!"

"Does 'Gold' ring a bell, Ice?"

"Gold... Gold... Gold! Your alive?"

"Yeah, and you had left me to die!"

"Okay, number one! I was two years old at the time and scared witless! And number two, I was searching the universe for you. When I couldn't find you, I assumed you were dead!"

"Wait... so you cared?"

"Of course I did!"

Gold held out a hand, and Ice took it. Gold pulled Ice to his feet.

I smiled at the two. Two long-lost brothers, reunited. "Okay, are you two done now?" They nodded. "Okay, so we need to get through and seal the portal so our worlds will never mix again."

"Too bad your never going yo be able to do any of that!" King Koopa said suddenly from above.

A net dropped around me. I struggled, and the others tried to help, but to no avail. It wrapped itself tightly around me, and eventually, due to the lack of air, I passed out.
