Hey guys, for this chapter, there is a scene I used that is based off of the show Kamisama Hajimemashita by the very talented Julietta Suzuki. This is not a crossover or anything but I really like that show so I just wanted to use an element from it in this story. If you haven't watched that show before, you should check it out- it's really good! Please vote and comment to let me know what you think! Thanks a lot! :D -GoalieGirl

"That's really the fastest you can go?" Katsu muttered, though she hadn't meant for him to actually hear her. They were leaping branches in the forest, now finally on course for their mission to help Erika. After they had finally ceased kissing the previous night, Kakashi promised they'd leave midday. Though it was likely Leaf shinobi were still seeking them out, it would be the least likely for she and Kakashi to be traveling in broad daylight. So that's exactly what they did.

"You really are  a delight," Kakashi muttered in reply without turning his gaze from the course ahead.

Katsu's lips turned upward very slightly.

"Thank you, I know," she said with a snicker.

"And humble too?" he inquired emotionlessly.

"That's right!" she said with a shrug. "Best ninja there is."

"Interesting view," he commented. "Just who are you better than? Shikamaru? Ino? Kiba?"

"Only all of them combined!" Katsu said triumphantly with a half-grin.

"And Naruto? Ten Ten? Shino?" What about them?"

"Remarkable ninja, no doubt. Only- not as good as I."

"But surely," Kakashi went on, "The Copy Cat Ninja has you beat, does he not?"

Katsu pretended to think about this. "Perhaps he may have once," she relented. "But I'm afraid it's safe to say he's...lost his touch." She smirked.

He chuckled. "And what is it that makes you so much better than him?" he wondered. "Is it your kekkei genkai? Your unique summoning jutsus? Your gifted  chakra control?"

Katsu laughed. "All of them at once!"

Suddenly, Katsu gasped as her foot slipped on the newest branch before her causing her to lose her footing. She toppled forward, experiencing a sickening zero gravity, before something encircled her wrist to jolt her from her free-fall.

Katsu looked up frantically. An amused Kakashi was crouched on the branch above her, his fingers around her wrist. "Well, look at that," he commented. "Such great  chakra control."

"You did that on purpose!" she accused furiously.

He chuckled. "How on Earth could I have managed that? I was right beside you. You slipped on your own. That's what happens when your ego gets too inflated."

"Shut up and pull me up!" she demanded, eyes wavering over the ground below. She had never been a fan of heights.

"Me?" he asked innocently. "But I thought the Copy Cat Ninja had lost his touch?  Isn't that right? How could an old man  like him, pull you up?"

"GAH!" Katsu shouted in frustration. "OK, OK, I shouldn't have said that! But I never said you were old! NOW PULL ME UP, WILL YA?!"

"In a second," Kakashi replied calmly. "But...I'd like an apology first."

"WHAT!?" Katsu snapped. "I'm not a child, I'm not going to say I'm sorry to you! What else are you going to ask me to do? Stand in the corner!?"

Kakashi looked to consider this. "No," he finally said. "But I could keep you dangling like this for some time, eventually removing a finger every now and then."
