CASSIES POV
Charlie.. I run into her arms and koala hug her. She hold my thighs so I don't fall as I put my head in the crook of her neck.
She carries me to the bed in the basement and sits down with me in her lap as I start crying. She lifts my chin up to look at her. "What's wrong baby girl?" She says softly wiping the tears from my eyes.
I struggle to breathe until she kisses me. I'm pulled off of her by yaya. "I told you that you could see her and nothing else!" She yells at charlie.
Charlie stands up and says "she was gonna have a panic attack and I did the only thing I knew would calm her down!"
Meanwhile I'm sitting in a corner trying to stop crying. All this yelling is making me remember when yaya beat Charlie unconscious.
They continue screaming until I let out a quiet sob. Yaya comes over to me and raises her hand to wipe my tears but I flinch. Charlie pushes her away and kneels in front of me.
"Baby I'm gonna grab your hand okay?" Charlie says. She slowly grabs my hand and places it on her chest. "Okay baby girl can you match my breathing?" I nod and we breathe together for a couple minutes. Then i finally get my breathing back to normal.
She pulls me in her lap and holds me like a mother does with their child. "I'm so proud of you baby girl you did great." I nod wiping my eyes.
I look over to yaya to see hurt across her face. "Charlie take her to your house. Knowing Alex he's gonna come by to beat her some more"
Charlie nods and stands up with me clinging onto her like a monkey. "Why don't you ever stand up to him? I mean you know what he did to Cassie was wrong. But Cassie couldn't help what she did. She was drunk and that girl took advantage of that. And what Emily did was her decision."
Yaya nods then says "if I stand up to him then I'll get what Cassie got." Charlie walks over to yaya "stay with me and Cassie. You have someone who'll protect you. And plus. You sure can pack a punch" she says chuckling lightly.
Yaya nods and grabs a bag and packs clothes and valuable things. We get into the car and I say "C-Charlie..? I need to get my brother c-can we go pick him up?"
She nods and we pull up to his friends house. She walks with me to the door. I ring the doorbell and Jacobs mom opens the door.
"Hey Cassie. I was wondering when you were gonna pick him up. I called you a couple times but you never answered."
I nodded and said "yeah some... Stuff happened but I'm good now" she nods and motions for us to come in before closing the door. "I'll tell him to get his stuff together" I nod and wait with Charlie at the door.
As soon as Jacobs mom leaves Charlie wraps her arms around my waist nuzzling her head in the crook of my neck. I sigh smiling. "I really like you Cassie and I promise to treat you right if you give me a chance" I nod and turn to her. "I like you too but it's gonna take me some time because some of my closest friends.. The people I've known for years turned on me. So please give me time" I say shakily.
She nods and kisses my forehead with a lingering kiss. But are broken apart by a small body tackling me into a hug. I laugh and hug James back.
I let go of him and ruffle his hair. "Cmon dork we're gonna stay with a friend for a while okay?" I ask slightly scared of his reaction. I mean you stay at your friends for almost a week then comes to pick you up with a girl you've never seen while your sister looks like she was mauled. I'd be scared too.
But all he does is nod and walk to the car. I grab Charlie's hand thanking Jacobs mom and walking to the car. I get in the passenger seat and we were off
