Chapter 5
The monstrosities started to walk over, they were huge and they had great smiles. Did I mention they were attractive? They were sporting grins from ear to ear, their eyes were trained on me while they walked with meaning... Right past me.
Oh, did I say they were gawking at me, no I’ve messed up. I mean they were gawking at Avery, of course. They tried to use their best pickup lines and everything, I didn’t feel like staying and watching what was about to go down. I looked back at Avery and noticed they all surrounded her, I couldn’t see her at all so I knew she wouldn’t mind me leaving.
I faced the huge house and took a deep breath ignoring all the chit chat that was going on in the background and started to walk in. The scent of alcohol hit me like a slap in the face, I wasn’t all that surprised that it smelled that way but it reeked of it. It’s a good thing I’ll be staying sober tonight. Bodies on bodies, girls on tables, beer pong, spin the bottle and much much more was going on in this one house. Why did I come again?
A group of girls passed by wobbling on their feet, they were trying to dance to the beat but they were failing. I couldn’t put my finger on what they looked like, it was something unsightly. I walked around all the females in short skirts and low tops and the males with their not-so-private area pushed up against the girls asses... They’re so classy.
I looked around the dark house for a place to sit or just chill for a second but it didn’t seem like there was anywhere to go. The house was packed after all. I walked into the kitchen seeing as it was really the only available place where there wasn’t any moaning and groaning going on thankfully. Like I thought, the kitchen table and counters were filled with drinks, most likely spiked. But also there were about ten bags of chips, a lot of brownies and other varieties of snacks.
I watched as people walked in and out of the kitchen grabbing plates and cups, even taking the whole bags of chips. I sat down and watched people through the open window that went right through the wall as they danced and acted stupid, then I saw her... Again.
Letting the burning liquid flow down my throat I continued to drink down the alcohol. I drank it until the last drop and placed the red cup on the table, I crossed my arms and placed my head on the table. My eyes glazed over as I looked around the room, everything was going so fast the people looked blurry. Everybody was dancing around while I remained here in the kitchen all alone.
Frowning I picked my head up and looked around for another drink, they relieved my pain. I quickly grabbed my cup and filled it up again as I watched her out there dancing around. My frown deepened as I watched her, slut. I drank another cup down and the jealousy started to rise, all the guys that were surrounding her. I never understood it, the fact that she doesn’t have to do anything to get their attention while I on the other hand have to do absolutely everything to even get them to glance at me. I gritted my teeth, it must be great being so pretty and popular.
I bet she never feels lonely, always laughing and messing around with them. That could never be me, that could never be Luna Rain... Is there something wrong with me? Is there something I’m doing wrong, or am I just invisible... Always blending into the walls, always being looked past for something better. My body started to quake as it began to be filled with a chilling feeling.
