Chapter 14
Looks like the date wasn’t just ending there. After playing around a bit we got bored and noticed a relatively new bowling alley just down the road. I looked up at the sky, the stars seemed to wink at me as my breaths came out like clouds. The sky was a beautiful dark blue the stars and moon seemed to light up brightly and I smiled.
Somehow we ended up chasing each other around a tree like some weirdos. I guess it didn’t really matter since we were having fun. I could feel something sliding on my head, I reached up and felt my beanie on my head. I turned around to face him, his cheeks were flushed from the cold air.
He put his arms over his head as we started walking. “You dropped your beanie. Might want to keep that on so you don’t get sick, plus it’s starting to get colder.”
I nodded as I walked beside him, once we got closer to the bowling alley I looked up at him. “So, how are your bowling skills?” Even from outside you could hear the sounds of bowling balls hitting the ground and just all around fun.
I’ve never been in this new bowling alley so I was surprised to see how nice it was. There was an arcade on both sides of the entrance as soon as you walked in. The main desks were just beyond the arcades and after that were the actual lanes for bowling. I thought I heard motors but I wasn’t sure, as we walked in further I could tell that - that was what it was.
I watched Cole smile. “I’d say that I’m not bad at bowling, what about yourself?” He asked as he waited for the man that was in charge of the bowling shoes and other things.
I looked at the man before us asking for our shoe sizes. We told him and then I responded to Cole. “Oh I’m not sure, I haven’t bowled in a while so I might be a little rusty.” After we got to our lane we chose our bowling balls and got started.
We were already on our fifth frame and the conversation was flowing nicely. “I like how you said you might be rusty... I mean it’s like you’ve been bowling forever. It’s insane that you’ve already gotten a turkey and I’ve only been getting spares.” He grabbed his bowling ball and walked up to the line.
I sat lazily in my chair and watched him as he readied himself of the turn. I chucked and shook my head. “I think that you’re over thinking it. Its not a big deal I’m just good at bowling, kind of how you’re good at math. It’s not like we made a bet so relax.”
It was like when I said that I could see him smiling, I felt like that was a bad thing... Maybe I shouldn’t have said anything after all. Just before he was about to roll the ball he looked back at me with a smile on his face. Yeah I shouldn’t have said anything... He looked as if felt like he was going to say something he shook it off and continued.
He looked thoughtful as he was about to roll the ball then after a while he let it go towards the pins, a strike was what he got. I smirked. “See I told you.”

My stomach was starting to growl after bowling so much and at which I was getting my butt kicked. We were on our ninth frame and I was about to order something to eat since our game was about to end. We were both having fun and that brought a smile to my face. After my turn, I got up and went to the bathroom. Little did I know that two girl would be outside of the mens bathroom.
