Eve's POV:
"Well that's good." Ash says as we sit on the couch in his apartment. It's only noon and my dad let me go to "Grace's place" so we could hang.
"Yea, I'm really glad we made up." I say, Ashton gets up to get us drinks.
"So um… Weird question." He says from over the counter in the kitchen, I stand up and walk towards him. Taking a seat on the barstool in front of the sink.
"Go ahead."
"I didn't know if you'd want to come, or if you cared or anything but um… The guys are throwing me a birthday party and-"
"Birthday party?"
"Yea, my birthday's tomorrow." I swear my mouth drops open.
"What?!" I screech.
"Why didn't you tell me?!" I say, running around the counter towards him.
"We gotta celebrate, I gotta go get a cake and, oh! Shit! I gotta get you a present, oh and I-"
"See, this is why I didn't tell you." He half laughs.
"No! You should've told me earlier!"
"Well, I'm not a big birthday kind of guy…"
"Why not?"
"I don't know…"
"Well we're gonna celebrate anyways." I wrap my arms around his waist, he returns the hug.
"Do we have to?" He asks looking down at me.
"Yes, because it's your birthday." I say, he sighs.
"Fine. We can celebrate." He says, I smile.
"But do you want to goto that party thing the guys are throwing?"
"Um…"
"Well I mean if you don't want to go you don't have to."
"No, I do. Trust me. I need a break for one night." I huff.
"Okay good… I just feel bad keeping you cooped up in this apartment all of the time. Like, keeping you a secret or something. And as tempting as that sounds, I just wanna take you out and show you off." He leans down and kisses me.
"Show this fine piece of ass off." He whispers against my lips, I throw my head back laughing.
"You're an idiot." I laugh, he smiles and kisses me one more time.
"I know."

Luke's POV:
"Well that's good." I say to Grace when she informs me that her and Eve made up. Eve seems sweet, as much as I've heard from Grace and Ash, she's apparently quite a catch.
"Yea… I missed her so much." She says, we both lay on my bed in mine and Calum's apartment. She comes here often, and Cal doesn't seem to mind. They get along well, so that's good.
Grace curls up under my arm and places her hand on my chest, feeling my heart beat. Her pale, lace dress is sprawled out on the bed. I laugh in my head because we don't look like we belong together at all.
She's so light and talkative, so adventurous and loud. And I feel like I'm all dark and down, and quiet and rude… It doesn't make sense to be honest.
And yet… it does.
"Luke?" She asks.
"Yea?"
"Do you love me?" She asks. My worlds stops and I can't hide the race in my heart, her hand is on it so she can tell I'm losing it inside my head.
What if I say yes and then she says no?
What if I say yes and she says yes but then changes her mind?
What if I say nothing and she leaves my arms right here, right now?
Just do it, just say 'yes.'
"Because I love you." She says, her confidence still amazes me.
"I do love you, Grace." I say in nearly a whisper, she's quiet for a moment.
"Good." She says, I laugh against her hair as she holds me tighter.
"Cause that'd be really embarrassing if you didn't…"
