Chapter Twenty-Eight

"When are you coming home?"
-Jack Johnson-
I couldn't answer that. I wasn't coming home for a long time. "Leah," I start. Her face falls. "You are coming home,right?" She asks walking up to me. I take a step back. I don't want her to hit me again. I stared at her. She begins cry. "Jack, you are coming home?" She asks with her voice squeaking at the end. I try to hug her, but she pushed me away. "Leah, stop, baby," I say trying to calm her. She starts walking away.

"Leah!" I shout. "Goodbye Jack. I'll see you through social media. Thanks for lying to me again," she said speeding up her walk. I followed her. "Leah stop. I wasn't lying. Your gonna be my girlfriend," I said pulling her and back. "When are we , then! You always say you love me, we've slept together, I mean what else is there to do!" She saids throwing her hands up.

"Right now," I say not thinking. She stops and stares at me. "What?" She asks looking around now. "Right now. Leah, be my girlfriend. As soon as MagCon is over , we'll go on tour together. " I say taking her hands. "I love you, Leah. I honestly do. I want you. I wanna see you everyday. I wanna be the reason you smile when your upset," I say leaning my forehead on hers. She still hasn't said anything.

"I love you too, Jack," Leah speaks. Say yes, I prayed. "Yes Jack! Yes, " she smiles and kisses me. I kiss her back. I wrapped my arms around her waist. "Okay, I'm gonna go get dressed. We'll go get breakfast," I tell her. "What time is it?" She asks. I lead her back to my room. "It's ," I say opening the door. I go into the room and look at my phone. "It's 5:00 a.m." I finish. I sit down on the bed for a minute. Leah comes over and straddles my waist. "I know a donut shop, by time we get there it'll be open," I say kissing her. She kisses me back. "Okay," she agrees.

She gets up and I follow. I change into blue jeans, a solid white t-shirt, and black vans. I fingered through my hair. "Okay let's go," I say grabbing my phone. "Wait?" G said saids looking at Matt. He was thankfully asleep. "Are you two.." Gilinsky trailed off. Leah blushes and hugs me. "Yes we're dating, but don't tell everyone yet," I say kissing Leah's forehead. Gilinsky smiles and nods his head. "Okie dokie," he says making an okay sign with his fingers. "Hey wait!" G called out. I stopped. Gilinsky came up to me and whispered," you did call it off with Mallory right? " "yes I did before we left for Magcon," I whisper back. He nods and goes back to laying down.

I smile and walk Leah out to a car. "So, how's college?" I ask her as I pull on to the highway. "Good. Taylor and I have been hardcore study. We've had test like all week," she saids leaning back. I glanced at her. She closed her eyes and put her hand in mine. I smiled and intertwined are fingers together. "Leah?" I asked. She hmmed. "Are you tired?" I asked smirking. She opened her eyes. "No, I wanna kiss you, but your driving," she confirms. "We'll be there soon," I say turning right.

Once I parked the car, the sun was shining above the hill. The donut shop had just opened. I looked over at Leah. She was asleep. I shook her slightly. "Hey, baby. We're here," I said smiling. Leah opened her eyes and then closed them. "Unh-Unh, get up Leah," I say climbing out of the car. I walked over to her side and opened the door. I leaned in and kissed her. I knew she was faking now.

I played with the buttons of her shorts. I saw her hand twitch. I smiled. I then moved my index finger under the waist band of her shorts. She finally opened her eyes. "Okay! Stop, I'm up," she saids pushing my hand away. I moved away. She unbuckled and climbed out. I locked the door as she shut it. "So, have you ever been here?" Leah asked as I opened the door for her.

"Yeah twice. It's good," I reply going up behind her. I kissed her cheek. She giggled and went to pick out her food.

"So, when do you wanna tell people we're dating?" Leah asked sipping her orange juice. "Um, later. Right now it's.... rough," I speak , remembering what Matthew said. She nodded. "What do you mean?" Leah asked. I stared at her. "You know, with Matthew. Not to mention your the ex of Nash. Who died," I say continuing to stare at her. She nodded again. "You know?" She asks. "What?" I ask back.

"Cam told me a long time ago he killed Nash. Then when we came to visit you guys, cam acted like he didn't. Then Taylor told me cam did actually do it," Leah started. I held my breathe. Now Leah stared at me. "Do you know anything about it?" She asked. "Cam was affected by the whole thing. You know his best friend died. It was hard," I lie smoothly. Leah seems to believe me.

I watch her check her phone. "I have to go babe. Taylor, Kendall, and I have plans," she saids standing. I nod and take our trash to throw away. "I'll drive you to the hotel so you can drive back," I say taking her hand. She smiles.

"Bye, I love you," I tell Leah. She leans up and kisses me. I kiss back. "No matter what people say or what looks they give, I'll never be ashamed of dating you. " Leah tells me. I smile and kiss her again. "I'll see you soon, " I say helping her in the car. "I love you," Leah saids buckling up. "I love you too, be safe driving home. " I tell her. She rolls her eyes and smiles. I chuckle and shut the door for her.

I watch her drive off. While she was waiting for the red light to turn green, she blew me a kiss out the window. I smiled and caught it. The light turned green and she drove off. I turned around and saw Bart standing there. "Bart?" I asked. "Are you sure about this, Jack? " he simply asks. I nod. "Yes, I love her," I say going back inside. "Jack, take a break today. You look tired," Bart tells me. I nod and continue my walk to my room.

When I got home it was around 11:30 a.m. "Where have you been?" Taylor asked me. Kendall was there. "I've been talking to Jack. They're only in Houston," I say setting my keys down. "Wha happened?" Kendall asked. "Jack and I started dating," I say going upstairs. "WHAT!" I hear as I shut my door. I giggle and change into my pjs. "Your dating Jack Johnson?!" Taylor screamed. "Yes, I am. Now I'm going to bed I'm tired," I say laying down.

"What about our plans?" Kendall asked standing by Taylor. "Um, tonight lets go clubbing," I say sitting and wiggling my eyebrows. Kendall giggles and nods. Taylor looks at me. "No flirting, Mrs. Johnson," Taylor saids cracking a smile. I smile back. "Can you turn the lights off?" I ask Tay. She turns off my lights and shuts the door. I laid down staring at a picture of all of us in high school. Me, Taylor, Jack G, Jack J, Cameron, Matthew, Hayes, Cameron, Sammy, and Skate.

It's so weird seeing us now. Nash and Cameron are dead. Hayes is in depression. Jack J is my boyfriend. Skate is still making music. Sammy , Matthew, and Jack G are growing up to be amazing artist. Taylor and I are making it through college. I felt a tear slip down my cheek.

So much has happened.
