Crouching low and holding my breath, I remained silent. My heart beat slowing down and my muscles relaxing.
I am one with nature. I Am invisible
I continued to repeat those words as the baby doe continued grazing the rich grass, unaware of the predator lurking above.
Swiftly and gracefully moving my bow Infront of me, being mindful of the 10 feet of air below me, I steadied my self on the arm of the huge oak tree.
Nicking in my arrow, I pulled back, the comforting tension pulling through my arm.
Listening to my steady heartbeat, I took aim. Inhaling once, I prayed for forgiveness before letting go on my next exhale.
The arrow found its target, as it pierced through the head immediately killing it.
Walking back to camp with a proud smile on my face, I dragged back our lunch
I lived alone, in the woods, with my best friend Rylarth. He's a dragon
I met him 12 years ago, when I was 6. I don't remember much of my old family, jus that there was fire and lots of screaming.
I prefer not to think to hard, cause I liked my life as it is now. All I know is that I had wandered into the woods and had somehow survived for a week, nearly killing myself a couple of times. But I had then stumbled across a cave which I had decided to use as shelter form the rain. What I didn't know was that, there was someone else in the cave with me.
I had sensed him, yet I wasn't afraid of him. He lived deeper in the cave while I decided to live closer to the front. I was strangely comforted by his presence.
It had been two weeks since we had begun to live together and I still didn't know how he, the beast looked like.
Winter was approaching and the fruits that I had eaten to survive were nowhere to be found. It had been two days since I found any fruits. I had found a couple of nuts that i was rationing off. I can feel my death approaching as I shivered pathetically, crying silently for the mess my life had become.
Unexpectedly a warm cloth covered me. Quickly I had realized that it was a large dragon wing smooth as velvet.
Initially I was surprised, but smiling slightly I relaxed beside the beast and slept peacefully.
