I woke up the next morning to my alarm going off. I quickly jumped out of bed and shut it off. I walked over to my closet doors that have mirrors instead of wood. I pull my hair into a tight ponytail and go downstairs. When I reach the bottom of the flight of stairs I quickly notice lots of voices talking. It's my brother and my mom.

"It's only until he can find another place. Then he'll leave." Austin said to my mother.

I stopped at the bottom of the stairs and quickly listened. I heard my mom's voice but couldn't hear exactly what she said.  I scooted closer to hear better.

"Mom. It wasn't his fault he got kicked out!" Austin said starting to raise his voice.

"And what room does he plan on living in Austin? We have limited room." My mom said with a very calm voice. She's always been calm in arguments, my moms, not the type to lose her temper.

"We'll clean out the bedroom next to Sydney's." My ears perked up at the sound of my name.

"Fine Austin, he can stay. And what about you huh? Where were you last night?" I didn't even think my mom noticed that Austin wasn't here last night. With everything going on, I thought she wouldn't even think of it. But I was wrong.

"I was at Aiden's." He quickly made up a lie. I thought it was time to stop eavesdropping and finally come out.

I walked into the kitchen to see my mom on one side of the counter and Austin on the other side. I waved a quick hello to both of them although they might have not even noticed because they kept their eye set on each other.

"Oh, so he let you come over to the house he was suppose-ably kicked out of?" My mom was cracking down on him. This wasn't the first time Austin came home from a party drunk late at night.

"I was with  Aiden is what I meant mom." Austin fidgeted a little as he shifted foot to foot. But my mom, on the other hand, was stern as you could get. She still held her gaze at Austin.

"Austin, when are you going to tell me the truth." She said with disappointment in her eyes as she looks away and walks to the pantry.

"Mom I am telling you the truth. Even ask Sydney. She saw Aiden drop me off last night." He looked to me for help because I have always covered for him in the past.

I stopped eating my bowl of cereal on the counter and looked at my mom. She was looking at me with pointed eyes to see what I would say.

"Yeah. It's true. I was about to walk up stairs and Austin came home with Aiden. Aiden just came to say hello to you actually, but I told him you were asleep." I quickly made up the lie and looked to my mom and nodded.

"Alright. Get to school you two. You're going to be late if you stay any longer." She said walking out of the kitchen to go get ready for work.

"Thanks, sis. You're a real lifesaver." Austin said patting me on the back and walking back upstairs to get him backpack for school.

I grabbed my stuff from my room and headed downstairs to Austin's car. when I got there I noticed someone sitting in the passenger's seat. As I walked closer to the car the person's image was becoming clearer. It was Jackie.

"What the hell is she doing in Austin's car?" I said more to myself but I guess someone else heard me.

"I was thinking the same thing.." Said the person that overheard me.

I look to my left to see Aiden standing there. Why is he here? Seriously it's like he's relentless.

"I'm sorry was I talking o you?" I said as he gave me a dirty look.

"No. You would rather talk to yourself like the freak you are." He said with hatred dripping from his voice.

"Knock it off Aiden. Don't talk to my sister like that." Austin says stepping out of the house and walking past us. Austin got into the driver's seat and started the car. Aiden just gave me an unsure look and walked towards Austin's car.

I walked to Austin's car standing tall. There is no way in hell am I letting this girl steal my brother like that. I opened the passengers door to where Jackie was sitting.

"Get the hell out of my brothers car." I said to her standing firm in my decition that I had taken onto myself.

"Aww, little girl, aren't you just the cutest thing!" She began to laugh in my face.

She's laughing! I thought to myself. I had just basically kicked her out of the car and she laughed at me, like it was a joke! I had simply told myself that I had enough of her. I looked down at the coffee I had in my hands and smirked to myself. I twisted off the lid and dumped I straight on top of her head as she continued to laugh. I assure you now, that to her it was no laughing matter.
