"I told you." Sheila laughed, taking a sip of her long island ice tea.

"No you didn't."

"Oh my God. How can you say that with a straight face?" She looked at me in disbelief.

"I been told you that man is sprung as fuck." She said. "I don't know what you been putting on him but...damn. I've never seen him like this."

I cackled sitting back in my chair. We we're at an outdoor restaurant in downtown L.A. called Sunny's we always went there whenever we were both out west. Which was becoming more rare considering our respective careers.

"Girl don't break him off too hard, he might start getting all sensitive and shit." She chuckled a little, stirring her drink. "Might write a song about you're ass."

My eyes bulged as I tried to keep my drink down and suppress my laugh.

"Why would you think that?" I laughed a little, adjusting my Ray Bans.

"What?"she asked looking up at me. "Oh, that he'd get sensiti-"

"No, that I'd cut him off."

"Because I know you, that's how you do all of them, Prince is no damn different."

She was making me feel bad as I thought about all of my ex's.

But I knew she was right.

"Awl, don't say that."

"It's the truth what makes Prince an exception?"

"He's a little different. For one, we were friends before we started...you know-"

"Fucking." She finished for me, nodding.

"Whatever" I rolled my eyes bashfully. "Two, I already know he's with other women. It's like and unspoken part of his job." I added to my list.

"So......you are going to drop him?" She asked, sipping her tea like the messy b*tch she is. But I loved her.

"Who said anything about that?" I asked innocently.

"You did. Look, just do it sooner than later, okay. Before he gets too attached." She said, a serious tone taking over. "I've seen the way he looks at you."
