Chapter one

Julia

I slammed the door shut and Piper sped off. Jane sat in the back pulling her hair up. I watched from my rearview mirror the mansion we just left fade into the distance.

I had blood on my hands. I didn't kill her or anything. I don't kill people for the wrong reasons and who don't deserve it. She seemed like she did with her record but in my book she was just another step to getting to my target. I did have to leave a few bruises and scrapes here and there so she would speak up in order for me to know where she is.

"So, any news on where Julia's target is?" Piper asks as she drives towards our shared double wide trailer

"Yup, apparently she works for these criminals called the Cohan's." I say with a grin of victory on my face.

"You know what that means ladies?" Jane says with a flirtatious smile.

Me and Piper exchange looks with grins plastered on your faces.

"Party tonight, get Julia's target tomorrow." Piper says with a smirk on her face and her eyes on the road.

This is the way it was for me. It isn't the life most people would want to live but to me it was perfect compared to my life the last two years before I met the girls. I still had images in my mind the day it all happened.

The cops and ambulance everywhere and surrounding the house. I was cuffed and brought to jail. I was found not guilty for his death because of footage I took with my friends around the time he was murdered.

Those 8 months were torture for me. They were still looking for who had killed my father but it was like they gave up and just closed the case after only 3 years.

They may not know who killed him but I did. I found a new hatred so powerful for her that I was out for her blood. That one fateful night always stays in mind.

It was the night everything changed for me. The only good thing that happened in my life at the momment. My only chance at revenge. It was my retribution.

It was the night I met my new family. Piper and Jane were everything to me. They were my sisters in my heart. Though I learned not to have much of one, I only have a special part for them. I only loved them for the last five years.

This thought made me think about my past life before she entered it. It made me more angry at her for what she did. I had the biggest heart then. I was a sweetheart and my father would remind me of that everyday. The day I found out what had happened to him I was going crazy and AWOL. My friends from highschool tried to reach me since I was not guilty and set free. I don't let them. Pretty soon they gave up trying at all. I haven't seen since then. I always check up on them.

They do miss me and I know that. I still see my bracelets I made them on their wrists in the pictures. Sophia is engaged now and moving in with her soon to be husband. She's happy and I am glad that she is. That, unfortunately is not my life and I honestly don't think it ever will be.

James is starting to settle down with his girlfriend. As much as I want them in my life again, I am a criminal. I am apart of the Devlin girls and where ever we go there is trouble and trouble I don't want them to get involved with.

I sigh and look out the window as the wind blows in my face. I look down at my lap and stuck the hair strand blowing everywhere from the wind behind my ear.
