Chapter fourteen - Temptation

Chapter fourteen

Piper (Yes! You read it right)

I couldn't handle all the tears that Jules has shed. She wouldn't let us in her room. At one point I even tried to show off my awesome singer skills to just get her to come out and murder me. Atleast then Jane could help her, right? Then, I relised that I can't play around when this has never happened before and I have never seen her like this. Well, heard her because she wouldn't open the damn door!

I took another breath and stood up heading to her room for the hundredth time today. Jane sighed and followed me down the hallway.

I knocked on her still locked door that I wanted to kick down this whole time. I was answered with complete silence so I knocked again.

Nothing at all. I sighed and knocked a third time but louder. I hear a long sigh and a groan from Julia in her room.

"Go away!!!" Julia yelled from her room and I heard something being launched at the door being her pillow most likely.

I sighed yet again, "Julia Anne Devlin get you lazy ass out of your room and talk to us! Don't act like a sad teen who just got dumped and put on your big girl panties. I am supposed to be the youngest here. So stop stealing that spotlight and talk to your best friends or I will kick this door down makeing you talk and you have to pay for a new door yourself. Open. The. Door."

I heard and a groan then a small chuckle before the door opened revealing a very non-Julia looking...Julia.

She turned back around and plopped down on her bed. Me and Jane glanced at eachother before following. At first she just sat there staring at nothing and thinking. I knew that this was serious and serious isn't really my thing but when it comes to hurting my best friends this much I won't tell a single joke.

"Talk to us Jules." Jane says and I nod in agreement.

She takes a deep breath, "I don't know what to say. That I still hate that bitch for taking my father away from me! That the same bitch is probably, possibly dead and I wasn't the one to do it myself! That she could still be alive but like a fucking ghost and it will take longer to find her! On top of that I just wasted my time with the Cohan's and look where it leaded me?! To be attacked by unknown people! Ugh, I just want to kill her already and kill Tony Cohan afterwards!" She rants and keeps getting quicker so she had to take a breath.

I stayed silent trying to digest all the facts that came out of her mouth. I know how it feels to want to just kill someone because I certainly felt that way for my target but right now Jules and her awful ex-step-mother is what I am focused on right now.

"We know Jules." I finally speak breaking the silence.

She looks at me and I do the only thing I could do. I held out my arms and the next second I was squeezing her in a tight hug

"We will help you. That bitch will pay. We are the Devlin girls am I damn sure we can find her ass and make her really gone forever." Jane says and than joins in the hug. We all give another squeeze to eachother.

Once we pulled away Julia wiped her tears and smiled at me and Jane.

"You guys are just the best ever." She says and I shove her shoulder.

She looks at me with wide eyes, "What the hell was that for?"

I smiled back at her, "Big girls don't cry."

We all laugh and I am glad I can turn off my serious mode because any second I would have cracked and made the situation way worse. Not that I couldn't handle it. I just want to lighten the mood all the time.

"Now, let's chill out and have a girls day in. Forget about the Cohan's and especially Tony. Then, we find her ass and -"

"Make her gone forever." Jane and Julia say dramatically copying me from earlier which earns them the Piper glare.

They laugh and eventually I can't help but join them. The girls go and put on comfy clothes and plop down on our living room couch. Sometimes it's good to just forget that the three of us are the Devlin girls and our lives are pretty fucked up. Plus, movies and popcorn mixed with the towns gossip is fun to do with Julia and Jane who just love to make fun of the people here in town.

I know what I saw this morning but I couldn't say anything and wouldn't say anything. Julia Anne Devlin and Tony Cohan are the same person and they just don't know it.

I sigh and put my feet on the coffee table next to Jane and Julia's with a big bowl of popcorn on my lap and big comfy sweatpants on. This is the Devlin girls real selves and sometimes I just loved having these moments with the girls. It takes me back to when we first met. That's how it all started.

Anyways, what did You think about Piper's POV? Pipers story is the third and last book so I don't really have to write her side in a while and figured I give it a shot.
