Chapter six - Temptation

Chapter six

Julia

As soon as I heard the front door open and then shut Piper and Jane were in my room expecting answers. I laughed as they both jumped on the bed and watched me with question filled looks.

"Well, tell us how it went! What did you find out?" Piper asks impatient.

I chuckle, "It went fine in my opinion. He asked me what I wanted with Margret and I told him because I wanted her dead. He asked why and I told him a brief explanation of the story." I reply shrugging my shoulders.

"And what did you learn about him?" Jane asks leaning in a little closer.

"He told me about how his father has always been controlling. His mother is the opposite basically. He loves his mom, you can deffiently tell. His father basically pushed him into doing what he does today. He said one in particular time and I quote 'will alway be a memory and not a good one' which gets me a bit curious. He was obviously holding back because our situation."

"We need to get him to open up more." Piper mutters to herself.

"That's a little hard when they want to kill us!" Jane practically shouts at Piper and hits her with one of my pillows.

"Okay, okay! Piper is right though. He is our only option to get to Margret." I reason and try to calm them down from starting a big pillow fight.

"So how are we supposed to get Tony Cohan to open up more? He isn't going to do that to just anybody. He has to trust them. He certainly does not trust any of us. To him and his family, we are the enemies." Jane elaborates and she was right.

It felt like hours of silence with all of his thinking of a way we could do this but in reality it was only maybe three or four minutes when Piper spoke up with an idea.

"I think I've got it but its very risky and possibly not going to work at all." Piper says and we turn to her.

"What is it?" I ask.

"Julia and Tony went for coffee and Jane and I watched from the store across the street. I saw what I saw and I saw that Tony was intrigued by you and we can use that to our advantage." She explains and I roll my eyes.

Intrigued with me, please. Tony Cohan was a hard man to figure out and a hard man to get to and I knew that whatever Piper was thinking, was not going to happen as we hope it will.

"We get Tony to be friends with Julia. Julia can do her magic and Tony can become friends with her. Then, once they are closer she can get answers from him." She explains quickly and winces ready to be hit with a pillow by me and Jane for her very stupid idea.

And that is exactly what I did and Jane as well.

"That is crazy!?" Jane shouted at her as she fixed her hair from us both hitting her with the pillows.

"That is going to take forever. This is crazy!" I agree.

"Okay! I know it's a little crazy and it will take longer but" she holds up a finger and and raises an eyebrow for a dramatic pause which I would have laughed at if I weren't so mad at her, "You have been wanting this for five years. What's maybe one or two months going to do to that."

"This is Tony Cohan we are dealing with, it's going to take longer that."

"Whatever, however long it takes it's our best move we've got. We can't just kill anyone getting in our way to get to her. We need a real plan or we will be the ones ending up dead." Piper reasons and she's slowly persuading me.

  "I hate you sometimes." I mumble under my breath but she still heard me.

  "Oh, you love me!" She says dramatically making me roll my eyes at her.

  "You're not seriously thinking about doing this Jules!? Not only will it take a while, it's also seriously dangerous and you could get hurt."

  "I know that but we can always have you guys close and know what is going on. I will risk anything to get to her just like you would for your target." I explain and she sighs.

  "I'm just worried about you being safe." Jane explains and I pull her into a hug.

  "I will be fine Jane." I respond giving her a small squeeze.

   Jane might be closed off and anti- social to others but she's very protective to the people she loves.

  She sighs and grabs the phone handing it to me. I grab it and open a message for Tony.

Julia - I have another offer and I hope you accept.

   I hit send and sit the phone down. After five minutes of us three girls biting our nails waiting for the ding of the phone for a new message, it happens.

  I pick the phone up to see the message from him.

  Tony - well, like I said if Julia Devlin gives you an offer, you can't resist to say yes.

  Julia - I want to go to dinner with just you tomorrow night.

I suck my cheeks of nervousness as he replies again.

  Tony - how about this time, it is my treat?

  I quickly reply with caution.

  Julia - I will call you tomorrow if that's okay with you?

 
  Tony - if I get to talk to you, I'm all for it.

  Julia - great.

  I sit the phone down on the bed and lay down staring at the ceiling while Piper and Jane glance through the messages.

   Once they are done I speak, " I know what he is doing. This is going to be really hard. He is acting and wants the same thing that we want from them. All the information he can get. He is very clever and trained as well. Right now it's just a game to see who wins first. It's criminal versus criminal and it's going to be hard to change that." I explain.

  Piper and Jane nod in agreement and lay down next to me. We talk more about the plan and eventually fall asleep in my bed in the same position.

A/N - This chapter was a little short and not very much happened, but the next chapter should be interesting. It is going to get more and more drama filled from here so keep reading :)
