Stories We Wrote Together

Chapter 1

"Ayeon!" My mom yelled from downstairs. "I'll be there in a minute!" I dressed up in the uniform for my first day of Highschool and rushed downstairs.

I saw my mom making breakfast "Good morning sweetie!" My mom was so exited for my first day but I was only getting more nervous. I then looked at the time "...Umm...Ah!! I'll be late! I gotta go!" I took my bag and ran to school.

There were many other students, laughing, chatting...just having a good time! Not knowing anyone, I was only looking at my feet while walking in the school to find my classroom.

I sat down waiting for other students and the teacher to show up. As I waited a group of guys walk in and one of them asks "Who are you?" I quickly move my head to look at them and they all seemed...older. Then the other one "She must of mistaken the classroom, come here, I'll lead you!" I sat up without knowing if they were pulling a prank on me or not, I just did what he told me.

He started walking away and I followed him without making a sound, I already felt so stupid...The hallways were already all cleared. Probably all the teachers went in the classrooms. He then asked "What's your name?"

I snapped from my thoughts as he asked me the question and quietly responded stuttering "A-Ayeon...a-and yours...?" He looked back at me and said with a smile "My name is Jin." when we finally got to the classroom I was supposed to go to he then turned back without saying a word. I yelled but my voice cracked up again "T-Thanks...!" I'm such an embarrassment...

I got in the classroom, apologized for being late and explained why. I sat at the first place I saw that was free. Not even looking who I sat by I took out my pencil to take notes.

"This is so boring..." I whispered but then I heard a voice respond back to me "I know right..." I tilted my head and looked around just to see a boy next to me...He was probably the one who reacted to my whisper..."Hey..." He looked back at me "Hello..." We then just stared at each other ...Me being shy I just turned my attention to the lesson, already feeling that my cheeks were hot.

The class ended and I went to the restroom to wash my face...What is it with me...I just started highschool and all I could think of are boys...I sighed and looked myself in the mirror..."I'm ugly anyways nobody would fall for me..." I then walked out and went back in my classroom and sat down at my desk.

The guy next to me was pretty quiet. All other lessons were empty because it was our first day...So we basically didn't do anything, other students were just talking and having fun while I was just sitting...

I then took out my sketchbook and started doodling..."Your pretty good!" The guy next to me said looking interested in my drawings..."Thanks..." We both became silent again. "Can I know your name?" he said "Umm...y-yeah my name is Ayeon..." ..."Ah...that's nice, my name is Jungkook" There was so much awkwardness in the air...

"Nice to meet you"

"Yeah...you too"

As the classes ended I was ready to go home, I walked out the school with Jungkook since he was my only friend there.

I didn't feel like going home since it was a nice weather so I stayed in the school yard. "I-im going to stay here for a while" ... "Oh! Okay...I'll be leaving then. Goodbye Ayeon!" I waved back at him "See you tomorrow!" He then left me and I sat by the basketball court.

I kept watching two of the students play carefully. They did have skills so it was fun. I doodled while they were playing and it seems like I'm the only one who was watching them.

As I moved my head up one of them was standing in front of me "Waahhh!!" I got startled but he kept laughing "What's so funny you jerk!?" ... " You?" He kept laughing but I only started feeling more embarrassed and wanted to walk away from this situation.

I placed my sketchbook in my bag and started walking away but then he stood in front of me "Hey I'm sorry!! I was only joking with you!!"

"Leave her alone Jimin." The other one started walking towards us and apologized for his friends bad behavior. He seemed more mature than his friend.

"I-its okay..." I quickly responded to them, they looked more open to talk to than Jin and Jungkook. I could feel my phone buzzing, my mom was calling me "O-Oh snap...I gotta run, bye you two!!"

While running home I kept thinking how did I seem today and what people did I meet today. They all seemed unique in their own way...I looked up going to school tomorrow.
