Chapter 20

[Harry’s POV]

I knew it was the morning for two reasons.

One, I feel something burning my eyes.

Two, it’s hot as hell and usually that’s the sun’s fault. But the sun isn’t usually a weight draped across my back. Wait… what?

I fluttered my eyes open to a blue material lodged beneath me and a hammering headache. I groaned as I pushed my face deeper into the material and realized it wasn’t a mattress. A mattress isn’t hard like a set of… abs?

“Well good morning.”

I felt myself move up and down as the voice spoke up. I turned my head so I could see who was talking to me. I begged to myself that it wasn’t who I thought it was. I couldn’t imagine him actually staying with me the whole night. He was an asshole. I flicked my eyes up and saw his face.

Louis.

I jumped up and in the process of my sporadic movements; I ended up flying off the bed. I landed with a loud thud and a groan. Louis peered over the side of the bed and looked down at me. He seemed to have concern written all over his face.

“Are you okay Harry?” Louis asked as I rubbed the lower part of my back. I snapped my eyes up towards him in a glare.

“Shut up,” I seethed between my teeth. I had no desire to talk to Louis.

Louis flinched back at my words. “I’m sorry,” he whispered. “I forgot you must have a hangover the size of the Louvre right about now.”

I rolled my eyes and began to get up.

“Do you need anything?” Louis said as he jumped up from and towards me. I looked at Louis as though he had six heads. What was going on with him today? He was being far too nice for his own good. I ignored his helping hand and got up slowly (and miserably might I add) on my own. I hobbled to the bathroom and Louis followed padding his feet softly behind me. Well, it might’ve been soft, but to me it was one of the loudest noises I had ever heard.

I flicked on the tap water and splashed some water on my face to see if it would help me feel less like crap. Sadly it wasn’t working. I grabbed the edges of the basin with both of my hands and groaned. That single was full of stress, pain, and just discomfort.

Well, there was discomfort within myself, until a comforting hand was placed upon my back.

“You sure you’re okay Harry?” Louis whispered as he rubbed circles into my back. I don’t exactly know what happened, but something within me snapped. I spun around and grabbed both of Louis’ wrists and pinned them to his sides. Louis’ face contorted with fear and I bit my tongue. I wasn’t going to yell at the miserable brat just because I was suffering from a hangover. I took a deep breath and closed my eyes. I only saw red behind my eyelids as my head was throbbing uncontrollably. I never wanted to drink again. I let go of the breath I was holding and fluttered my eyes open. I looked down at Louis and he still had a look of worry on his face. He ran his eyes over my face the same time I ran my eyes over his. I don’t know what he was looking at, besides an ugly boy, but what I saw in front of me was a beautiful young man. He literally was flawless. I just wanted to let him know, but I doubt that he would want to hear it from me.

I withheld a sigh of discontent as I released Louis’ wrists. He stood in front of me awkwardly for a moment until he spoke up again.

“Are you sure you’re okay?” Louis whispered.

I screamed as I threw my hands up in the air. That, however, was a very poor decision because my head started to throb even more. I was so frustrated that I shoved Louis out of the way and marched back into my bedroom. I threw myself onto the mattress as the springs groaned in the process.
