Chapter 5
[Louis’ POV]
I woke up to the sun shining bright in my face. I groaned and rolled over. I didn’t want to be awake. My hangover was downright awful; I knew I shouldn’t have had so much to drink. My headache only got worse when I heard a light tapping on the door. To me, however, it sounded like a freakin’ earthquake.
“What?” I groaned. I wasn’t in the mood at the moment for anyone.
The door opened slowly and I saw a hand hold out a bottle of water and a bottle of pills.
“Just get the hell in here Zayn,” I said while I rubbed my temples.
The door opened a little bit more and Zayn stood there in a light blue button up and white skinnies. He had his glasses on as usual and that stupid terrified look on his face. A lot of people never assume that Zayn is a model. All the kid does is read and cry. He’s such a fucking softie. Sometimes I want to hit him in the face, but since our families our friends, it seems only fair that I try to be nice to him. No matter how much of a pansy the kid is.
“Well bring them to me,” I snapped.
Zayn bustled over to me and opened the water and pill cap for me. I tossed back some pills and downed them in some water. I saw Zayn’s mouth moving, but there wasn’t any sound coming out.
“I can’t hear you,” I said. I didn’t mean for it to come out as narcissistically as it did, but Zayn just snapped his head and began to whimper. I held back a groan and resided to pinching the bridge of my nose.
“I’m sorry Zayn,” I said with as much sincerity as I could muster up. “I just didn’t hear you, that’s all. You know how bad I get when I have a killer hangover.”
Zayn gave me a small smile and then opened his mouth again.
“I-I was g-g-going to ask h-how you were f-f-feeling,” Zayn stuttered at a more audible tone. I held back my eye rolling and gave him a smile.
“I’m feeling better Zayn. And how about you? Didn’t you drink as well?”
“N-no. I opted out of d-drinking. I d-don’t like it that m-much.”
I nodded. “This is why I envy you Zayniekins. You’ve always been smarter than me.” I pinched his cheeks as he turned scarlet. I laughed and threw off my covers. I heard a squeal and saw Zayn’s hands fly up to cover his eyes. I looked down, afraid I was naked, only to look back up at Zayn, well his hands at least, and rolled my eyes.
“Zayn.”
“Mhmm?” Zayn asked from behind his hands.
“I have on boxers.”
The innocence on Zayn is so ridiculous. He could make a baby look dirty. I always wanted to get Zayn drunk and just take have the innocence vanish for a few hours, but he always found ways to evade himself from alcohol. Either that or I get drunk far too quickly.
“Mhmmm.”
I sighed and hopped out of the bed and I knew Zayn wasn’t going to do much of anything until I had some clothes on. I padded around the room and threw on some maroon skinnies and a white tank I had lying around.
“I’m decent Zayn,” I said as I grabbed one of my beanies from the floor.
Zayn hesitantly lowered his hands from his face. I could only assume he was scared that I was kidding and instead of being clothed, I was standing in the room in just my birthday suit. When he saw that I was actually in decent clothing, he looked so relieved. I had to laugh because Zayn was actually far too adorable for his own good.
