"We are almost there... Are you ready?" Chance asks me as we turn down a small road and end up rolling past some big mansions a few miles away from the city.

I peer down at myself and feel my jacket. On the left side, my gun is holstered tightly. On the right side, two knives are clinging to the leather. I then feel my back, making sure my second gun is safely hooked in underneath my shirt. Then, I let my right hand slip down to my right boot where the last knife is hidden away.

"Yeah." I say to him, glancing nervously at Lacey. She has pulled out Chance's laptop, and is prepared for any activity on there for her to hack. She types something on the flat keyboard, and then steals a look over at me and then lets a smile form on her small lips.

"Even though I don't like this... I wish you luck. Don't let any of them hurt you." Lacey orders me with a firm nod and a wink.

"Lord, I almost forgot about the earpieces I wanted us all to put in." Chance tells us all and then reaches over to open his glove compartment. Inside sits a cool black container that has intricate silver designs sprawled all over it. He quickly opens it up and swipes four skin-colored ear-pieces from it.

He sticks one in his ear, but he squishes it in there so deep I just glare at him in amazement.

"Good Lord, I thought you were trying to shove that to China." I laugh at him before his emotionless express turns hard.

"This isn't funny. They will probably suspect that we have these in, so we need to be cautious." Chance explains as he turns around and hands one skin-colored piece to me.

I nod and then push the item as far as I can push it into my right ear. As Chance explains that the next house is the Gun's house, his voice echoes in my ear, loud and clear.

Soyer stops the car before it reaches the front yard of the Gun's mansion, and then turns around in his seat to meet my eyes.

His caramel eyes sting with worry, sending a nervous chill down my spine.

"Be careful." He commands me, as if I can control my safety.

I force a smile onto my lips, and Soyer just grins back at me before he whirls back around and slaps his hands on the leather steering wheel.

"Let's go." Chance suggests not seconds before he hops out of the car and shuts the passenger door behind him.

I follow right behind him and swing open my door, stepping out into the bright daylight. The clouds hover above us, the sun shining straight through them and sending waves of heat down on us.

I take in the mansion as Soyer drives away. The mansion towers on the other side of a long, brick driveway. It wears a creamy tan color, with white on the outlines and on the windows and doors.  The roof is an dark orange color, and adds to the house's Spanish-looking style. A few balconies sprout here and there, and some plants and bushes stand in certain places, making the building look even better.
