Annabeth

"Are you serious?" I groaned, as sight of the monsters comes into my vision. Out of literally all the monsters in Greek mythology, they had to choose this one.

Out of the tunnel comes Kampé, the lady with the crazy belt and legs, and the just overall demented personality. Oh, and to add to the fun, she's got poison tipped swords. Which we have to fight against, without getting cut. Yay!

"Just what I was looking for." Thalia grinned evilly. "My bow was getting a little rusty without shooting something." Kampé hisses at her and charges straight for me. She's smart. She goes for the person with the shortest blade, the easiest person to kill. Mentally, I smirked. She doesn't know that training with a dagger all your life has prepared you for people who assume that. Plus, being a blonde woman isn't the greatest thing in society today. But it's often a major advantage. I rely on those who underestimate me to win my fights.

"Ok Annabeth." Piper glanced at me. "You got us into this mess, you're the leader. What's your call?"

I scanned the monster circling us like a wolf around a deer. "Thalia. You have the bow, you can do the most damage and get the least hurt. Focus her attention on you. Keep it. Piper, you and I will split up. I need you to head to the left, I will go to the right. Our main goal is to get rid of those wings she has. That way, she can't escape when we fight her, and keeping her on the ground is the best option for all of use since none of us can fly."

Thalia nodded. "Ok." At my signal, Piper and I run in two opposite directions. Like expected, Kampé went after me, but Thalia shot a dozen arrows into her back and focused the attention on herself.

Kampé whirled around, hissing. She went straight for Thalia, But I threw my dagger and send it straight through one of her outstretched wings, leaving a gaping hole in the thin skin. She shrieks in pain and tumbles to the ground. Piper then comes in one her left and take advantage of her distressed state to completely slice off her left wing, rendering her useless and on the ground.

"Ok." Piper muttered. "So now we get to play with zoo lady on the ground. How wonderful."

Kampé rushed once again at us, and we all split into three different directions, letting her stumble into empty air. Thalia shots a few arrows int her stomach, but the ever changing belt of freaky animals swallows them.

"Ok." I said. "Since that obviously didn't work, aim for the stomach.

All of a sudden, a massive thud shakes the ground. The boys. I had completely forgotten about them. I go to turn around and see how they are doing, but Thalia gripped my shoulder. "Annabeth, not now. I know my brother, and I know Percy. They'll be fine. We have to focus on not dying here. "Ok." I said, taking a deep breath. "You're right."

Thalia released me from her grip and somersaults over the ground, kneeling to get a better angle. She sent two arrows into each of Kampé's eyes, blinding her. But, her other senses compensate for this. After all, she was the jailer for many in Greek history. She's very powerful.

Piper darted around me and threw her dagger, it landing with a sickening and satisfying crunch in Kampé's left leg. I grinned. At this rate, she'll be finished off in no time.

Of course, just as I thought that, something had to go wrong. Kampé blindly swings her sword, and Piper darted out of the way, but she's too slow. The tip of Kampé's sword just nicks her, sending the poison throughout her body. She does not collapse immediately. Instead, I ripped off a portion of my long tunic and fashions it into a tourniquet at her arm, not letting the poison spread throughout her body.

I dragged her over to the side and study her face. It's not looking too good. I searched through my bag and find just enough ambrosia squares to help her. I give them to her. "No." She said, trying to give them back. "What if you or someone else gets more severely injured or hit by Kampé's sword.?"
