YN's POV:
Kevin immediately began sprinting towards the source of the scream. Everyone else following suit.
What made us think it was a good idea to go to the beach alone at night?
Michelle's POV:
I was waiting on Kevin to find me in the most obvious hiding spot, behind a palm tree, when I heard a twig snap behind me. I shrugged off my fear.
As I was looking to see if Kevin was coming, I spotted a spider on the trunk of the tree near where my hand was resting. I removed my hand with a shriek. I don't do spiders. No ma'am.
I came back to my senses when I heard my friends calling my name over and over again. What's wrong with these children now?
I walked from my hiding spot out into the open so they could see me more clearly. I took a step backwards and I felt the warm ocean water against my foot. I didn't realize I was this close to the shore.
I removed my sandals and took this opportunity to walk further into the ocean. I was about mid-thigh deep in the water, enjoying life, but that all ended when I felt a excruciating sting on the heel of foot.
I basically leaped out of the water. I sat in the sand and held my foot, too hurt to call for help. A hand was placed on my shoulder followed with an unknown voice speaking to me.
"I can fix that for ya," the person informed.
I turned my head to see the same guy from the beach and the mall. What's this dude's name? Destin? Desmond? I don't really care.
"I don't care what you can do, but you're gone get your crusty ass hand off of me," I spoke shrugging his hand from my shoulder.
"C'mon, I'm just trying to help. All I have to do is pee on it," he spoke like we've been friends forever. I looked at him as if he had two heads.
I screamed to the top of my lungs, hoping to scare him away before screaming, "BOY IF YOU DON'T GETCHO PINTO BEAN HEAD ASS AWAY FROM ME! OLE R KELLY WANNA BE!"
He raised his hands in surrender while speaking,"well be that way lil mama." I continued to shake my head at his foolishness as he proceeded on his journey the hell away from me .
Shortly after, the crew came running over to me, all out of breath. It was a funny sight honestly.
"Where the hell have you been? Had us stampeding around this beach for your ass," Jalen barely managed to say.
"Well I was gonna find you guys until I was stung by a jelly fish and I saw that Dookie guy," I responded.
"Dookie?" Skye questioned.
"Well you know the obnoxious guy from the mall," I informed which caused her to nod her head in remembrance.
"Where was he?" Kevin snapped searching around for ole boy along with Jalen, Daniel, and Devin.
"He walked away after he volunteered to pee on my sting and I told him off," I spoke. Everyone rose an eyebrow and tilted their head to the side or maybe the head tilt was an illusion since I still was on the ground.
"I just know we have to get back to the hotel because this is too creepy," Daniel stated. We all agreed.
"I don't know what made us, a group of black teenagers, come to the beach at night anyways," Devin mentioned.
"I was thinking the same thing earlier," Yn admitted.
"Great minds do think alike," Devin replied, kissing YN's temple which caused her to giggle.
"Get a room," Kevin scoffed as he bent down to pick me up bridal style, which caused them to roll their eyes.
YN's POV:
We finally made it back to the car after minutes of Kevin's complaining. Your girlfriend literally just got stung by a jelly fish and you're complaining over sand ruining your shoes?
I was in the car with Jalen, Michelle, and Kevin. While the others piled into Janae's car. They were ahead of us, leading the way back to the hotel.
The street light, where we were sitting stationary for 3 minutes finally turned green and they sped off. A decision which I wish they would've been more careful with making. Shouldn't they know to wait a second before pulling off, even if the light's green?
Another car attempting to run the red light, believing that could make it, rushed into the left side of the car which made Janae's car slide into another lane. It's like I seen the whole thing happen in slow motion.
Glass was broken everywhere. Tire screeches were heard, tire marks were seen, and the fear of losing loved ones was felt.
