Mom: Sam, your dad and I got a job offer in California. Were going to accept, and we want you to come with us. I know it's hard for you to leave everything here behind, but it's for the better. More opportunities.

Me: But mom, my friends and family are here. Plus it's the middle of the school year, and what about soccer season? And golf is coming up too.

My dad: I know, but you could have more opportunities there than here. Just please give it a try.

Me: Do I really have a choice?

My mom: Well no, just try to like it okay?

Me: I'll try but no promises. When are we leaving anyway?

My dad: I know it's short notice but were leaving in three days, we'll be working on their base so they need us there in 5 days plus we need time to settle. We'll tell you the details in a few, and we have your transcript. You'll be going to school in San Jose.

Me: This sucks, I will know no one.

My mom: You'll do fine, you're popular remember? Good social person.

Me: Yeah sure. I need to sleep on this so goodnight.

Mom and Dad: Night.

They turn off the light leaving me to sleep. I still couldn't sleep. The fact that I'm leaving in three days. It hit me like a rock, all my bestfriends, my band, my team. I'm letting all of them down. How can I say goodbye. This also means yesterday, Friday, was my last day of school in Hawaii. I'm going to miss everything and everyone. I started crying so I put in headphones because music always seems to calm me down. Except this time, the pain of having to leave in less days than fingers on my hands was unbearable. I just can't. I somehow stopped my tears and fell asleep.

The Next Day:

I woke up and looked at my alarm, 4 AM. Ughhh, why am I up so early. If you know me, you'd know I don't usually wake up until 9 or 10 AM. But then again I fell asleep at 7 PM after the talk. Oh goodness I almost forgot about that until now. I better hang out with my friends today while I can. But it's still too early, so I'll try to go back to sleep. I fell asleep and woke up at 11 AM, great I missed breakfest. I wanted bacon. Maybe I'll have breakfest for lunch. I brushed my teeth, straightened my hair and changed into some shorts, a Vogue shirt, and a big white/canvas color sweater. Tried dressing cozy for the winter. When I get out of my room I see boxes everywhere and no cars meaning no ones home. I hope they at least left me some food. I walk into the kitchen and see there's a note on the microwave.

It says: "Sam, dad and I got called into work. Left a loco moco(eggs, rice, hamburger, and gravy [very delicious by the way, it's a Hawaii thing]) for you in the microwave. Have a good day, love mom."

Oooooooh food. I immediately take it out, it's still warm so I take it into the living room and start watching White Chicks, god I love that movie. I keep laughing no matter how many times I watch it. It be the bomb diggity. Around 1PM when the movie finishes, I call up my bestfriend of all time, Rachel.

Phone Call:

Sam- "HAYYYYYYY"

Rachel-"suppppppp"

Sam-"hang out sesh? I have to tell you stuff.."

Rachel-"uhm, okay. Can we do homework too?"

Sam-"you can, I'll just read. So my house."

Rachel-"okay, give 10 minutes. I'll just walk in when I get there."

Sam-"okay bye."

Rachel-"bye"
