It's been a month since I moved to California. Everything's the same everyday. Katie and her followers pesters me every time they see me in school but it usually ends with me walking off with a smug grin plastered on my face. I go to the dojo every Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Cheerleading on every Wednesdays and Fridays - psst, I get to skip the last two periods every Friday . And a sleepover once every two weeks with Drelyn.
Same old, same old.
Yep, my schedule is pretty tight so practically I spend most of my free time in the dojo, just hanging out with the dorks. Sometimes, when I'm in a good mood, I'll sneak off to the skate park. Yea, sneak off... Mum doesn't really allow me to go skate. She thinks that because I'm a girl, I shouldn't be doing those stuffs I always do. She says it'll make me a 'tomboy'. Pfft, never in a blillion years.
My clothes are mostly pink. I'm really not a big fan of that weird colour but Mum keeps on buying me girly clothes. I mean, yeah sure, I wear dresses every once in a while and heels and tribal tops-those tops are so dang cute- and lipstick, well you get it. Depends on my mood, really.
But I'm mostly wearing some shirt and leggings. Oh! And my combat boots. Those boots are the main thing in the Grace Ashton fashion line. But seriously, it's either that or sneakers.
Today is a Friday. Not to mention a few more minutes to lunch. Seriously. I could not care less about what happen in the past. They always say, what happen, has happened. So why care about the past school? People now should actually think about the future. Who cares about some dude who found a species of flower that reaks of rotten meat.
I glance at the clock, my head still on the desk and my hands wrapped around my bag which is still on my lap. Just a few more seconds... Come on... Come on...
"Sir Stamford Raffles also went to a strange island that was first name-"
Ring!!
Finally! Before Mrs. M could dismiss us, I was already out of the class, rushing to the cafeteria. Everyday, Drelyn and I would meet before sitting with the girls. Since it's a Friday, it's mystery lunch. Last week, we had purple noodles... Yes, somehow the noodles were purple. Isabelle, our lunch lady, said that it was Chinese food. Basically, the noodles are just coloured... Those purple noodles had the taste of seaweed. Yes, seaweed noodles. The dish is called Cho Kee Wanton noodles. We either have to choose that or green ones which have the taste of spinach. I'm neither a fan of green nor spinach so we chose purple. That was only for lunch and after school. For recess, we had some strange Chinese food. I don't even want to know what it is called.
I made my way to the cafeteria and immediately spotted Drelyn. Her hot pink bag kind of gave it away. I crept up behind her and poked her sides yelling, "DRELYN!"
"OH MY GOD! THE HELL?!" Drelyn shrieked and screamed at my face. I only giggled as she recovered from the shock and hit me on the head.
"What? It's fun scaring the living shit out of you." I replied, still laughing a bit.
"Shut up!" she was tryiing to glare at me but failed miserably as I just laughed more. She really cannot be mean. Like seriously. We linked arms anad went to the queue.
We each took a tray and waited for our turn. We read the heading, 'Pizza & Fries'. Looks like we're having an unhealthy lunch today. Just the way I like it. As we reached the counter, I read the labels and see which pizza I wanted. One caught my eyes. I grabbed a pizza, a scoop of fries, an apple and last but not least, a big chocolote chip cookie.
"That will be a total of three dollars and twenty cents, love." Isabelle said in her thick British accent. I payed for my food and flashed her a smile before following Drelyn to our table.
