*DISCONTINUED* Best Furry Friends

Part 4

Nya-
I entered my den happy the day was over and that tomorrow is Sunday.

Sunday is my favorite day of the week, not only are there no people, but it's also the only day I get to see all my friends at the same time. Vet day. The only day all the animals go in at the same time to get checked on.

Me and my friends all came into the zoo at the same time because of our previous owner. He had to give us to the zoo because he lost everything. Because of this the caretakers know that we are all friends.

I hopped into my den and curled up. Tomorrow will be a good day, I can feel it. I then drifted to sleep, dreams of life before the zoo filling my head.
~Nya's dream~
I walked around not sure of what to do. As I look around I notice something strange, the forest has gone quiet. Weird, the only reason the forest would go quiet is if- realization dawned on me. I looked around, more closely this time, and I noticed a pair of eyes staring at me from the shadows.

A large, black wolf jumped out of the bushes. All I can see are his deadly, white fangs and icy, blue eyes. I would never forget that smell though, the smell of aging wood is a smell I use to enjoy.

"Their we go, your leg should heal in no time!" The strange person above me said.

After the wolf started attacking a person came to my rescue, driving the wolf away and then taking me here. The person put somethings cold on my injured leg then put some kind of white, fuzzy thing on my it.

He then put me in a small cage, locking the door he said "maybe you, Rachel, and Chloe can all be friends."

Who are Rachel and Chloe? I thought. Maybe they were saved by this man too.
~End of dream~
I woke up to a throbbing pain in my leg, as if being attacked by the wolf had just happened. Dreams about my past always bring pain, this one was no exception.

I noticed it was day and Jumped out of my den. It was a beautiful day, the sun was shining, the birds from the bird feeding cage were being annoying as usual, just another day in paradise.

But something was off, the air felt different. But ground felt more, alive, as if it was moving. Something big is going to happen today. I thought.

Then I ran off to see if my friends could feel the same things I felt.

Rachel-
Another dream of freedom come and gone. And once again I'm left with a fantasy, Not the real thing. I thought, but today would be different, I could feel it in the air.

I heard small feet running toward me. Nya must be coming. I turned around and surely enough Nya was coming toward my prison cell disguised as a habitat.

I walked to the fence separating us as did she. When we got to the fence she almost immediately started talking.

"Did you feel the change in the air, or the ground, the ground feels really weird, almost as if it's alive or something! How come we haven't gotten breakfast yet are the caretakers even here today? Why are we-"

"Woah, time out. You need to slow down and try again, okay?" I cut her off. She nodded and tried again.

"The air feels funny, and their are no people to be seen. What could this mean?" She said at a much more reasonable speed.

"Maybe they're just late?" I said, not sure of my answer.

"All of them?" She said.

"It was just a guess," I looked around for some kind of clue,"yeah I have no clue what's going on." I state bluntly. I looked at Nya and noticed that she was being careful with her back left paw.

"Are you okay?" I asked. She looked at me, "Yeah, why?"

"Just curious." I said, maybe she just stepped on a sharp rock. She looked around, "Hey, can you go ask Chloe if she knows what's going on? She's good at predicting the weather."

"Sure, I'll be right back." I said as I started to trot over to Chloe's habitat. As I walked by I glanced back to see Nya walking back to her den. Wonder why she's going there.

When I made it to the fence I looked for Chloe, not having much luck. As I searched I saw Jhana pacing back and forth in her enclosure. What's got her so worked up? I thought. Just then I spotted Chloe and called her over.

"Hey Chloe, over here." I said. She turned her head, saw me, and started walking over to me.

"Yeah what's up?" She asked.

"Um, do you think something weird is going to happen today?"

"Weird how?"

"Like with the weather. I know your good with this stuff so I decided to ask you."

"Well," she said, deep in thought," it might rain today, or maybe hail? It's hard to tell."

"Alright, thanks for the information."

"No problem."

As I started to walk away though, the ground started trembling.

HEY GUYS!

So, I'm sorry about the late update, and the short chapter. Life's just been busy... And frustrating. (You: Excuses, excuses...  Me: Yeah, yeah, I know.)

(I am writing this chapter kind of late at night so sorry if their are a lot of mistakes)

Anyway I would have made this chapter longer but I didn't know what else to add and I want to save the action filled part for the next chapter. But hopefully I'll be able to get that up later today!
