Waking up from my sleep, I looked across my bed to look at Saeko, who slept facing towards me. Smiling, I rose from my spot, and got dressed, heading for the door. Walking down the slightly charred halls, I passed by Katya's room, which showed she was out and about, probably down in the armory with Hirano, chatting about the ammo. Heading for the kitchen,I saw Ms.Shizuka and Alice cooking on a propane grill, making eggs and toast. "Morning ladies." I said, ruffling Alice's semi long red hair, and peeking over the top of her head. "What's good?" Shizuka laughed, waving a spatula in my direction. "If you're trying to say something, Quinton, you better watch out!" I laughed, dodging a light swing from her. "No,no,no, Ms.Shizuka. I merely asked if breakfast would be ready soon." Alice, who was now nine years old, elbowed me in my gut. "Of course it will be, you big dummy. By the time you come back from your morning run, you can eat." Laughing, I said goodbye as I walked out, heading for the armory. As I headed to there, I heard Saya calling me. Turning around, I saw that she looked lime she was up all night, because as she caught up with me, she was hurriedly putting her mid length hair up in a bun. "You're going out on a run, right?" I nodded, turning to keep walking. "I've got a list for you. There's some things that we need to get, like clothing, water, maybe some gas for us." She handed me the list, which I quickly read, then put in my pocket carefully. "That's not all, is it?" I asked, stopping at the door of the armory. "No. I was doing some late night watching, and I saw some strange activity over by the shrine. You know the one. I want you to check it out before heading into the city. I think we might be able to find something back there." I nodded, thanking her, and entering the room. "...and make sure you're aiming slightly the head, just to compensate for the kick." Kohta instructed, aiming a rifle at my head. Not flinching, I pushed the barrel up, walking past Hirano. "Well, if it isn't Mr.McAuliffe... Saya give you the list?" She asked, raising her eyebrows as I pulled my Markov down off the wall. "Yea. Should be a easy run, if I know where to run." I pulled my katana off the wall, attaching it to my belt. "I heard there is some kind of police station nearby. You think you can check for any spare ammo?" I nodded, grabbing a small, worn out box from the shelf. "Not again with those freaking cards!" Katya groaned, folding her arms. "You complain about me, but who need the hair dye here?" I said, walking past her. Heading for the front door, I saw Saeko standing there, leaning against the doorway. "You're going out?" Saeko asked, eyeing my weapons. "Yep. Same as usual." I walked up to her, and hugged her close to me. "You make sure nothing happens while I go shopping,OK?" She nodded, her nightclothes rustling against my black tank top. Kissing her fore head, I jogged out of the house, and out the front gates, eyes trained on the shrine in the distance.
