It’s funny how when you’re dead people start caring.

They start liking your Facebook photos.

They start pretending like they knew you.

They start to regret that they never invited you to sit at the lunch table.

They start to notice.

They wish they replied to your text.

They wish they didn’t say those harsh words to you.

They realize how good of a friend you were.

I don’t get it, why do you have to be dead to have people care?

You’re not going to see the likes on the photos.

You’re not going to be there to say that they barely knew you existed.

You’re not going to be there to sit at they’re lunch table.

You’re not going to be there to see them notice you.

You won’t see the texts that they finally replied to, that was far too late.

You can’t hear that they’re replacing they’re evil words with kind ones.

You’re not there to be a good friend to them, when they weren’t for you.

Why show someone you care, when they’re not there to see it?
