Hey, guys! I hope you enjoy this chapter! Happy reading!
"Um, what should we do now? We don't have any allies...in either country."
After spending a few days of rest in the Star World, Jack, Elsa, and Snow White bade their goodbyes to Baby Tooth and headed back to their world. Right now, they had been discussing plans on what their next move should be, but none of their ideas seemed good enough in the long run, all eventually leading them to end up captured.
"Well... It'd be good to hide for now," Jack mused. "But we can't keep staying at a place like the Star World, or otherwise we'd never get things done."
"If you're wondering where to go next, I can help with that," Elsa offered. "I know a place where no one can find us."
"Huh? There's a place like that?"
"Yes. We can also talk there, with no disturbances."
"All right, I trust you, Elsa. Lead the way."
..~..
"Wait... Isn't this...the Infinite Chasm?" Jack frowned when he recognized their surroundings. "This was where North fell. Don't tell me..." he glanced at Elsa, "there's a hidden place here?"
"Yes, that's right. We have to jump into the chasm in order to get there."
"Huh?! W-wait!" Snow White interjected from behind them. "Are you crazy?! We'd die if we jumped in!"
"Don't worry. We won't die if we jump. Trust me," Elsa smiled reassuringly.
"Elsa..." Jack began. "This world you speak of...I'd like to know more about it after we jump into the chasm."
"All right," Elsa nodded. "I owe you that much after placing your faith in me in something this big."
"All right," Jack said, pumping himself up and jogging in place, stretching his neck from side to side. "Well? What are we waiting for? Let's jump in."
"W-w-what!?" Snow White exclaimed, cowering in fear. "Lord Jack, really?!"
"Yes," Jack nodded. "I trust Elsa."
"Thank you, Jack," Elsa smiled, walking to the edge of the chasm. "Well, I'll go first. To show you the way, of course."
"Right, wouldn't want to get lost while going down a one-way fall," Jack teased, walking beside her. "I'll go after you."
"H-hey! I'm coming too!" Snow White shouted after them, quickly catching up.
Standing at the edge of the rickety bridge, Elsa gave a faint nod to Jack before letting go of the rope and falling down the black abyss below. Running quickly to watch her rapidly disappearing form, Jack took a deep breath before doing the same.
I'm getting really crazy...
He could hear Snow White scream as she shortly followed suit and soon, they all began their descent down the craggy chasm.
Jack's breath was literally taken away as he dodged past sharp rocks that jutted out from the sides and he could only thank the gods above that he wasn't punctured by any of them. Looking ahead at Elsa, he saw her glance at him and give him a faint nod before everything turned black as they landed.
Jack moaned as he slowly opened his eyes to a bright blue sky and fluffy white clouds. Steadily sitting up, he scrutinized his surroundings more closely and his eyes widened in shock as he saw floating land masses and beautiful yet destroyed pieces of architecture everywhere.
