Hey, guys! THANK YOU FOR 100 VOTES ON THIS STORY! I REALLY APPRECIATE IT! I hope you enjoy this chapter! Happy reading!

In the throne room of Euna, King Pitch sat pondering over what the soldier who had arrived a few minutes ago had told him.

"...Oh. I see. So Jack survived..." he mused to himself. "And he knows... He knows the truth.

"...But," he considered, "that doesn't matter. I've already started my plan.

"Jack, being afraid isn't enough. I'll simply have to crush you. And I know the perfect way to, and nobody can stop me.

"This world shall soon be mine..." he said, his chuckles soon giving way into full-on maniacal laughter. "MINE!"

Outside the throne room, leaning against the doors, Anna pressed her ear against the cold wood. She frowned as she listened in to her father.

"Father...who are you talking to?" she whispered. "And what do you mean by crushing Jack...?

"...I've got a bad feeling about this..." she said. "I'll have to talk to Eugene."

"No, Anna. Stop."

Anna gasped, turning around quickly to see Astrid standing behind her, a frown marring her features. "Astrid?"

"I get a somewhat ominous feeling from Father," Astrid said. "It's as if he's not of this world..."

"No..." Anna said quietly, placing a hand to her mouth. "Then that should mean that we have to tell Eugene all the more-"

Astrid shook her head. "No... Acting in secret right now is dangerous. Just observe for the time being..."

Anna hung her head, nodding slightly. "...Okay," she said. "I'll stay quiet...for now."

Stairway of Hades

Jack gasped for breath as they trekked up the seemingly unbounded amount of stairs. Their next plan of action was to try to get to the Kingdom of Disney and talk to the duke. To do so, they had to go through a place called the Stairway of Hades, and did it sure feel like hell to all of them.

"These stairs...will they ever end...?" Jack said, huffing and puffing and wondering how he managed to even talk when he felt so lightheaded.

"I don't know..." Elsa confessed, panting as well. "But going through these stairs is the fastest way for where we're headed."

"Um, the place we're going to... We're definitely heading to the neutral Kingdom of Disney, right, Elsa?" Rapunzel queried.

"Yes. If we want to avoid fighting as much a we can, going there would be a good plan," Elsa replied. "That country...any and all fighting is halted there."

"E-Elsa..." Rapunzel suddenly squeaked, shuffling closer to her. "W-what's this deep mist...?"

Two bright green lights temporarily blinded them all for a second. Opening their eyes, they were greeted with two towering Nightmares.

"Everybody, it's the Nightmares!" Rapunzel screamed.

"Please calm down, Princess Rapunzel!" Sanderson called out, getting into fighting position. He charged at one of the Nightmares, with Jack and North taking the other one.

"Hyaaah! Haaah!"

"Are you prepared? Huaah!"

As they were attacking the monsters, Jack noticed a strange aura coming from them.
