Chapter 1

I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock going off and Emily walking into my room.

"If you want a ride to dance, you better be downstairs in 5 minutes." She looks at me then walks out.

I sigh. I sit up in bed and look around. Great. Today is the day that James won't be in the studio. What am I going to do without him? I mean... What are we going to do without him? I need him... We need him for regionals.

After about 15 minutes later, I walk downstairs and see that Em is gone already. Well, she did say 5 minutes. I shrug and walk into the kitchen, grabbing my phone to text James.

*Phone Convo between Riley and James. R= Riley and J=James*

R: Hey James. : ) Can you pick me up and drive me to dance? Em is being stupid and wouldn't wait for me.

J: Sure Riles. I'll be there in 5 minutes.

R: Kay. I'll wait here. Hehe.

You can say that I have a little crush on James. It's not that big of a crush though. I mean, If I end up dating him, Em will tell dad and dad will become over protective and everything that fathers do for their little girls'. I grab my dance bag and an apple then walk to the door to answer it  when I hear James knock on the door.

"Hey Riles." He smiles. "How are you?"

"Good. I guess.." I fake a smile at him. "You seem calm for someone who just got pulled out of the dance studio.. Aren't you going to miss dance?"

"Yeah. I guess I will. But, It's only for 2 weeks. I'll be back in no time Riles. And, We will be going on that date." He smirks and wiggles his eyebrows.

"Okay." I smile a little. "Ready to go then?"

He nods and walks over to the car with me following him.

We both get in and he starts to drive when "Addicted 2 you" starts playing.

I smile and start to quietly sing along. James must have noticed because he looks over at me and just smiles that perfect smile.

And then, the next 5 minutes flash before my eyes. The last thing I heard was "BANG".

I can hear someone saying my name but, I couldn't make out who it was.

"Riley? Riiiiley? RIIIIIILEY?"

I slowly open my eyes and look up to see Emily crouched down beside me, stroking my head. Why? I thought she hated me.

I slowly sit up and look around. James is no where to be found. Sigh.

"W-where's James?" I ask.

"He...Well..." Emily starts to say but never continues.

"WHERE IS HE?!" I scream.

"He's in the hospital... He got hurt really bad from the accident.." She says, trying to calm me down.

"H-hospital? A-accident? W-what?" I stumble.

"You and him were laughing too much and he wasn't paying attention to the road and hit another driver which caused that driver to hit a telephone pole." She points to James' car and the other car.

I start to cry. I can't lose James. Not now. Not ever. I need him.
