Chapter 5

Emily's P.O.V

As I walk into Elite, I over hear Kaeleah and Dave talking.

"I think if we put her in the front, it will make her really happy." Dave says and Kaeleah nods.

"I agree. We can win without her. We have before and we will again. I just can't wait for her to leave Elite. We need someone better than she is. She's weak." Kaeleah says.

I'm so surprised by what I just heard. I....I can't believe I lost The Next Step, Stephanie, Tiffany AND Riley to Elite. I grab my bag and walk out. I leave a note saying:

Kaeleah&Dave,

I overheard you guys talking. I honestly don't understand why you would put me on the team if you think I'm weak. You're probabaly thinking, "How does she know this?" Well, It's simple. I overhear you guys talking when I went to get my dance bag. Honestly, Just kick me off the team already. Oh wait, You don't have too. I QUIT. Q-U-I-T. I hope you're happy with yourselfs. Because, you guys are honestly grossing me out by what you said about me. Putting me in the front row will make me happy but kicking me off the team afterwards because I'm weak is just WRONG. W-R-O-N-G. Oh, and When The Next Step Studio beats your ass at Regionals, I know your going to  come begging for me and Stephanie back! If not, It's your loss!!!!!!!

Anyways, I hope you are happy with your decision because I know I am....

I set the note on Dave's desk and walk to The Next Step Studio. Honestly, I don't know what Michelle will think because 2 weeks ago, she came into Elite begging for me to come back and I turned her and the team down. What will Riley and the rest say? I don't know and I honestly don't care. I just want my team back and I'm going to get them back.

~~At The Next Step~~

As I walk in, I can see everyone staring at me. Michelle and Riley walk up to me.

"What are you doing here? I thought you were at Elite." Michelle says.

"Yeah. What happened Em? Please tell me. I'm your sister." Riley says.

"Well.. I over heard Kaeleah and Dave talk while I was getting my dance bag and they said that they were going to put me in the front row then kick me off the team and tell me that I'm too weak. So, I left them a note saying that we, the next step studio, are going to kick ass at regionals!"

Everyone looks at me in silence.

More silence.

Silence.

Eldon speaks up.

"Really? You said that?"

"Yeah. You guys are my family!"

Everyone aww's and hugs me. Including Michelle. Surprisingly, she does. Riley hugs me too. But, I'm still mad at her.

Everyone pulls away and goes to their spot for the group routine. Everyone but Riley.

"Em, Can we talk? As sisters?"

"There's nothing to talk about Riley. You disobeyed me. You made me lose my spot as dance captain, my friends..."

"Em, I'm sorry. I didn't mean too. I did it for the team Em! Not everything is about you!"

"AND NOT EVERYTHING IS ABOUT YOU RILEY! WHAT DO YOU WANT TO HAPPEN? HUH? DO YOU WANT US TO BE SISTERS AGAIN? DO YOU WANT US TO SHARE CLOTHES? STUFF THAT SISTERS DO? BECAUSE YOU LOST THAT RILEY. YOU LOST THAT."

"Em..."

"We're done here Riley.."

She turns and faces me.

"Remember that time when I was supposed to feed the kittens but, I thought you were feeding the kittens and it turns out that mom was feeding the kittens? Maybe we need to do that... I be the sister you want to be and you be the sister I want you to be..."

Riley's right. We can't stay mad at each other for long. I mean, what she did was sort of for the team....

"I'm willing to try that..."

She smiles and hugs me.

"Me too. So, How's you and Eldon?"

"We're good. Really good actually. What about you and James?"

"Well, We have a date tonight... Maybe you should help me get ready?"

I nod.

"I'd like that. C'mon Riles. Let's go get you pretty."
