For Better Or For Worse (#Shoey)

Chapter 9: In The Hospital

Doctor: It's about Mr. Graceffa. We managed to remove the pieces of the blade lodged in his abdomen. But he's now in his room resting. He should wake up within the half hour.

Shane: Can I see him??

Doctor: Yes, the nurse will take you to him.

Shane: Thank you Doctor.

Nurse: This way Mr. Dawson, Mr. Graceffa is through here and down the hall.

Shane: Thank you.

Nurse: Okay, here is Mr. Graceffa's room. I'm really sorry about what happened.

Shane: Thanks, and that means a lot! (goes into Joey's room and his mouth just drops in sadness) Joey, baby!! Why?? I love you so much! (he just sits there beside him and decides to call his mom and tell her what happened, then all of a sudden Joey wakes up!)

Joey: Shane? Is that you??

Shane: Yes! Joey it's me!

Joey: Owww, where am I??

Shane: You are in the hospital, you were stabbed last night.

Joey: Really?? I thought I just had a bad nightmare!

Shane: No baby, you were really stabbed! Do you remember who stabbed you??

Joey: Ya, owww, it was that guy that insulted me at the red light on my way to the Storytellers set. He must have followed me and waited until I was by myself! Ouch.

Shane: Okay, I'll tell the doctor you're awake and then call the police so you can tell the cops who stabbed you. Sit tight! Relax! Your safe now!

Joey: Okay, love you(lies back down)

Shane: Love you too baby!! (goes to find the Doctor to tell him that Joey's awake)

*10 minutes later*

Shane: Joey? You awake??

Joey: Yeah, just still feeling sore.

Shane: I bet, well there's an officer here to get a description or anything you can say about the guy who stabbed you.

Joey: Oh, okay!

Officer: Joey, hello, I'm Officer Krupky.

Joey: Hello officer.

Krupky: What can you tell me about what happened to you??

Joey: Uh, well I had just finished filming for my new web show; I went and sat down then I thought I heard someone call me. So, I went to see what it was and then I felt the knife go right into my gut and when I looked up I saw the guy who was being a jerk to me at a red light on my way to the filming site.

Krupky: Okay, Got it! Can you describe the guy who stabbed you??

Joey: Um, tall, probably 6'1, black hair, probably mid 30's. Oh and his name was Jack Matthews! He said it as he stabbed me!

Krupky: Thank you, I think we have everything we need. If we need anything else, I gave Shane my card. Hope you feel better! Sorry about what happened.

Shane: Thanks officer! Joey, you okay?? You need anything??

Joey: Ya, can I get something to drink??

Shane: Sure thing babe! Be right back!

Joey: Shane?? Is that you??

Jack: Nope! You faggots just won't die will you??

Joey: It's you!! No! Leave me alone!! What are you- (Jack smothered Joey's face with a pillow)

Shane: Joey, the nurse said- wtf?!! Get off of him!! Get out of here! The police are looking for you!

Jack: Fucking queers!!! (runs away!)

Shane: Joey!! Wake up!! Joey!! Please!!! Somebody help!

Nurse: (ran in) What happened??

Shane: I came back in here and saw the guy, who stabbed my Joey, in here smothering him with a pillow!

Nurse: Okay, I'll call the police! And he didn't smother him long enough to kill him, it just knocked him out again. He'll wake up in a few minutes.

Shane: Really? Thank god! And thank you!

Nurse: You're welcome! Call if you need anything. (she walks away)

Shane: I'm not leaving your side ever again! (remembers the lyrics to a song: because I knew you; I have been changed for the better!!)

Joey: Shane??

Shane: Yes! Joey, it's me!! I'm never leaving your side again!!

Joey: I want to go home! When can we go home??

Shane: In about 2 hours! The doctor still has to come back and check on you!

Joey: Okay.
