Scarlett POV:

When my mother and I arrived home, she made us some tea. We carefully sipped from our cups as the fireplace roared to life again, green flames bursting out of it. Out of the fireplace appeared my father. Not a moment later the doorbell rang. I quickly put down my cup and walked up to the door. My hand went to the doorknob and I stepped back while opening the front door. Outside the door were my grandparents and my little sister. As Nymphadora saw me her hair became the same colour as mine, dark brown. She held her arms out for me and started to giggle. My grandmother carefully lifted her and placed her in my arms.

My father had hidden what he bought for my birthday. My birthday wasn't in a couple of days, and I was so excited. I even sent invitations to my mother's part of the family, the Blacks, hoping for the best. I knew that the chance was little that they would actually come.

The day of my birthday was quite... Disturbing. I always dreamed that on my 11th birthday, my whole family would come. But it they didn't. The whole Black family despised us, my father, particularly, and didn't show up. Even after I send them multiple invitations. The rest of it, well, it was pretty fun. The muggle part of my family did come. At first, my parents woke me up, my mother carrying Nymphadora. They sang happy birthday and gave me my present, a cage with a huge bow around it. when I unleashed the bow.. Well, I was stunned. It was a baby snowy owl. It's bright yellow eyes pierced into mine, and it felt like it was looking right into my soul. It's perfect white feathers shone in the dimmed light of my room. "Oh, my..." I managed to choke out, tears building in my eyes of joy. "What are you gonna name her, princess?" My father asked me. "I.. I think.. I think I'll go with... Persephone..?" I said, not sure that was going to be it. "No, no. I know! Athena!" I exclaimed loudly, remembering that one of Athena's signs was the owl,

At the 1st of September, my parents brought me to the Kings Cross Station, in London. We got a little cart where I could put my luggage on. I had a huge trunk with my initials on it, and a bag which contained my uniform, hairbrush, wand, my book and elastic bands for my hair. We watched out for muggles, and swiftly ran through the wall between platform 9 and 10, right onto platform 9¾. For a split second everything went dark, and my heart started beating as fast as a hunted on bird. It fluttered around, hitting my chest every quarter of a second, like a bird trying to escape a cage of bone and a cloth of skin to shield it from the light. When I could see again, I heard so many sounds all at once. People talking, trolleys being pushed, owls barking and hooting, cats meowing, toads shrieking. And most importantly, the train steaming. The bright red train stood there, taking all of my attention. We went to give my trunk to the helpers of the train, them putting it inside of the train itself. I looked at everything in full awe.  At one point the train let out a loud whistle, a sign for me to get on the train right away. I quickly gave both my parents a hug, kissed Nymphadora on the head and left off to the train. Everywhere I looked was full, so I decided to ask a girl from my age if I could join her. "Hi! Can I join you, maybe? Every other compartment is completely full." I said, trying to get some new friends. She slowly nodded, after having processed that someone wanted to sit there. "I'm Scarlett, nice to meet you." I told her. The girl answered not too much later. "Hi.. I'm Aluna.." She told me. I nodded. "Nice to meet you, Aluna." During the ride we had sat silently for a few minutes, until yet another knock on the compartment door came. "Umm.. I was wondering if I could sit here... Everywhere else is full..." I simply nodded, and looked at Aluna for confirmation. She nodded at well, having a small smile on her face. "I'm Scarlett, nice to meet you!" I said. Aluna introduced herself as well. "Oh.. I'm Clara.. It's.. Nice to meet you, as well.." She said, looking down at her hands. She slowly sat down next to me and put her bag on the luggage shelves above our heads. I grabbed the book out of my bag, kicked my shoes off and placed my feet on the bench, getting comfortable in the corner.

Welp, this took a lot longer than expected. Sorry about that. I guess every one of us forgot about it. Sorry!
