Skylar POV

The rest of the day went by quickly, I ended up sleeping on the coutch again and waking up when Natalie got back. She was stood in the kitchin, leening on the counter and staring out of the window. Her eyes were distracted. She was thinking.

"Natalie..?" I ask, putting a hand on her shoulder. She jumped a little, turning to me with a smile.

"Don't do that, Sky!" She batted my hand away before hugging me tightly. When she pulled away she had a mischeivious smirk. "So, who was the cute guy this morning?"

My face went as red as a strawberry. She knew?! "I- u-uh, how do you know?" I asked, a hand behind my neck as I looked down at the floor. I heard her giggle.

"I let him in this morning. He said he was a friend, but judging by your face he's a little more than that." She lifted my head up so she could see me.

"N-no, he was someone who helped me yesterday. You could say that we're friends though .."

She looked at me a little weirdly. As if she knew something that I did not. The look soon faded though, and she shook her head. "What do you want for dinner, munchkin?" She laughed.

My mouth widened. "I am not a munchkin!" I shouted playfully and tapped her gently on the head. "If anything, you are." I laughed

"Okay okay, well does pasta sound good?"  She asked, looking through the deep drawer where we kept the pots and pans.

"Pasta will be fine.." I said, looking out of the window into the darkness of the trees outside. I could swear I saw someone for a second, but my wolf would have growled had it been a threat. I took the pasta from the side and watched as she prepared it.

"Had a good day at work?" I asked, just wanted to break the silence that had fallen upon us.

"Well it was a modirate one, untill I took my break and met someone"

My mouth widened as I stared at her in almost disbelief. "N-not romanticly?"

"Of course not!" She looked down at the floor for a moment, with sadened eyes. "No, a friend that we haven't seen in a long time." The smile reappered, as she continued with filling a pan with water.

"Really? Who?" I asked, watching as she turned the heat up on the hob. She smilled at me gently and tapped her nose.

"They told me not to tell you. I have to keep it a suprise untill they get here." She teased.

"What?!" My shoulders sunk a little as I shook my head, trying to remember the names of various people it could be. Cousin Jenny? No, she lived in Italy with her mate after father had told her not to get involved with his affairs. He knew she was in danger, and I doubted that she even knew what had happened to him and mother. Perhaps it was Sebastian and Cece. The two had left the country for 2 years to learn about the mythical parts of being a were. They occasionally sent us letters, the two far too excentric for them to use phones or email. Demons, eh? They can never decide what to do with their lives and when they think of something good they decide to look up werewolves instead of their own kind.

My head snapped to the window again, feeling eye upon me. The same feeling yet again.

"What's wrong Sky?" She turned her head to the side and looked at me quetioningly.

"I can't help but feel like we're being watched .. not byt wolves or vampires, and my wolf isn't going crazy so it can't be a threat, but something isn't right.. someone is out there, I know it."

Unknown POV

"That was a close one." I mumbled to myself as the girl looked out of the kitchin window again. If she had seen me, my master would not be happy.

The girl looked happy, it seemed that she had began to forget about her past, forget about what had happened to her and her family. I was ashamed to even be the same species as the muderous brutes. We knew that much, but perhaps that just wasn't enough. My phone began to vibrate in my pocket.

"Do you have the information?"

"Yes master." I said into the phone. "You should arrive here tomorrow at 10am, and from what I know you will recieve hospitality from the two."

"Thankyou, keep an eye on the girl and make sure that she is not harmed."
