Chapter 3
Shewould not back down, until Malachi would lay dead on the ground. Sheno longer needed to ponder on the idea, and now that they wereoutside, with walls of the buildings surrounding them and with noneto watch see what was about t happen, she knew that for her it mightbe the only chance to pay for her slaughtered family.
Withoutgiving him any more chance she moved towards him and with quickmovement punched him a few times in the face, and both of her feethit him straight in the chest. He hit the wall which he broke in theprocess and lay still for a few minutes before slowly getting back onhis feet. His facial expression could only show anger and humiliationnow.
'What'sthe matter now? Never been hit in the face before, sorry did I hurtyour pride? Well let's see what you make out of this' and withouta warning she struck him again, but this time he fought back with thesame force as she did. They didn't think, they knew this fight wasto the death, and only one of them will survive tonight.
Hehit her in the chest with one smooth blow that made her stumble butit didn't stop her from kicking him in the face with her boot, andthe heel must have caught his skin, because now where his mouth was, tickled blood from a very deep wound. But it didn't stop him fromreturning her kick but only the foot connecting with her stomach. This made Sarah fly and smash against another wall. Her head began tohurt and she suspected it began to bleed but never the less, shestood up. He was too close and punched with his fist, this time inher face. She stumbled back, leaning against the wall, but he wouldnot stop, and punched her again and again in the stomach. She feltsick and she could taste blood in her mouth. But she couldn't giveup now even thought she knew he was much stronger than a hundredvampires she thought so many times before. Sarah pulled herselftogether and with all her strength began to hit him in the face, stomach at the same time her feet maliciously making contact with hisknees. He fell to the ground but that didn't stop her fistconnecting with his chin. Malachi fell to the ground on his back andSarah heard his hard breathing. It wasn't over, both had the samethought.
Sarahtook out a knife from the pocket of her jacket, and she knew thattonight her prayers will be heard. The murderer will have hisjustice. She turned to face Malachi, who was now lifting himselfslowly off the ground. He swayed for a few seconds before bringinghis focus back to Sarah and then the knife she held in her coldbloody hands. Sarah charged forwards ready for the knife to get incontact with Malachi's heart but he was also prepared for the blow. His electric eyes found hers and he understood, that she wished forhis death for too long and nothing would stop her now. He staggeredtowards her and with a few smooth tackles he wrenched the knife outoff her fingers. He threw her body to the ground and looked down ather face with disgust. 'There is a curse between us' Sarahpronounced while still on her back. 'But you know what you have todo, so make it quick' and she closed her eyes, this time preparedfor the knife to slice through her body and find her heart. Butinstead something heavy punched her in the face and the next thingshe saw was darkness, and the fact that she couldn't think or feel, was when she finally realized that she was for once in her life, scared.
