I sit at the table and quietly eat my spaghetti. Gina is talking to Sierra about her college classes while Cameron is blatantly ignoring me. Once I've finished, I lean back and wait for Gina to stop talking.
"May I be excused?"
"Sure." She smiles warmly.
"You invade our home and won't even stay for the entire dinner?" Cameron snaps.
I swallow and nod my head, just taking it.
"Cameron Alexander!" Gina frowns at him. "Go to your room."
"Fine." He glares at me and walks away.
I put my plate in the sink and turn to go upstairs.
"He's just upset." Sierra assures me.
"So am I." I give her a small smile and walk back to my house to feed Hunter dinner. Once he's done, I let him out and pet him before shutting and locking the door.
I go back to the Dallas house and change into a sundress with my hair braided to the side. I walk down the stairs to see Cameron and Gina arguing.
"It's just a party. I'll be back before 3." He groans.
"No. You deserve a Friday night at home for what you said to Brooklyn." Gina crosses her arms.
"For what I said to her? Mom, she's a murderer." Cameron seethes.
I cough to announce my presence. They both turn to me with pale faces.
"I was just telling you I was going to a party. I'm sure I won't last long and I don't drink." I assure her.
"Okay." She gives me a warm smile.
"You're letting her go and not me?" He frowns.
"Cameron, you're right. Go with Brooklyn and don't leave her side." Gina smirks.
"Hell no."
"Then don't go." She shrugs.
"You're ruining my life." Cameron pushes by me and walks out the door. I follow him quietly and sit on the bench in front of their house.
"What are you doing? Come on." He frowns when he looks at me and stops in front of his range rover.
"My friend is picking me up." I shrug.
"You actually have a friend?" Cameron scoffs and crosses his arms. "Ditch them and come on."
I shake my head and close my eyes. I may take this from kids at school, but I won't take it from Cameron. "Yes, I actually have a friend. She actually realizes and believes I didn't do what you all think I did. Why would I harm someone close to me? And, no I won't ditch them. You drive yourself to the party because I sure as hell wouldn't want to go with the way you're treating me."
Cameron looks at me with wide eyes and bites his lip. "Fine." He turns away and gets into his car, leaving me on the bench.
I sigh and play with my dress until Liz pulls up with a smirk on her face. I shake my head and walk up to the passenger side of her audi and buckle up.
"Care to explain why you're at the Dallas'?" She pulls away and starts driving to Sophia's.
I shrug. "It's not a big deal. My dad's relative passed away and I'm forced to stay with them."
"Oh, I knew my mom turned yours down but I didn't know you'd end up there." She giggles.
"I wouldn't be giggling, he called me a murderer." I mutter.
