"Um..." I trail off, looking between Sierra and Cameron.

"Is there something I should know about?" Sierra smirks. "Oh this is gold. I'm telling Mom."

"What? No, nothing's going on between us." I shake my head.

"Yeah, she has a boyfriend." Cameron adds in.

"Sure she does. His name is Cameron freaking Alexander Dallas!" Sierra jumps up and down.

"No, his name is Logan Carson." I fold my arms across my chest.

She nods with a grin. "I'm gonna get my purse and leave you two lovebirds to get back to it."

I roll my eyes as Cameron mutters a profanity under his breath.

Sighing, I turn to Cameron. "I'm going to take Hunter for a walk."

"Well, I'll come with." He shrugs.

"If you insist, sick boy." I smile at him teasingly as he sends me a sloppy grin.

It's moments like these that cause me to like Cameron. I'm not sure if I still have a crush on him or anything. I shouldn't, I have Logan. It's just that something seems fishy about Logan. Everything Cameron does and says are real, yet it feels like Logan just tells you what you want to hear. I don't know, I could be delusional.

"Are you coming?" I'm broken out of my reverie with Cam standing by the door.

"Yeah." I put my phone in my back pocket and head out onto the porch with him.

"If we see anyone from school, I'm jumping into the bushes." Cameron mutters, looking around as we make our way to my house.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why I also hate Cameron Dallas.

"Whatever." I unlock the front door and grab Hunter's leash, causing him to run over to me. I hook it onto his collar and lock the door behind me. Hunter greets Cameron before we make our way down the sidewalk.

"So, this whole Logan thing is legit?" Cam raises his eyebrows.

I frown. "Yeah, why would you think it wasn't?"

"Um, I mean- never mind."

I stare at him with a curious expression before shaking the thoughts and turning away. I can't believe he would assume our relationship was fake.

"Seriously, Cameron." I stop in my tracks, anger coursing through me. "Why did you stay home with me if you were going to be some rude asshole?"

"I didn't stay home with you." He shrugs. "I'm sick."

"Bullshit!" I shout, lucky that no one was around and we were already almost 15 minutes away from our houses.

"I'm sick. Don't you dare think it was anything more than that. Why did you stay home, huh? You're not sick."

Tears prick at my eyes. He's so bipolar. I thought we were friends now, guess not.

"Why? Because I had to go through a date with a guy at the murder spot of my best friends! I couldn't tell him why I wasn't acting normal. I couldn't tell him what the problem was. I also probably won't tell him the issue anytime soon. Maybe I don't want to stay home from school all the time. Maybe I want to learn but am stopped by this anxiety because everyone hates me for an absurd reason!" Tears stream down my face. Cameron stands staring at me in shock. After a second, his face softens.

"Brooklyn-"

"Come on, Hunter." I wipe my face and jog back to the house, Hunter prancing next to me. I put Hunter back in my house and do the usual routine. I'm not thinking straight. I want to call my mother.

Heading to the Dallas porch, I hear Cameron call my name. I turn and look down, not wanting to see him.

"Brooklyn, look at me." Cam stands in front of me.

"No." I shake my head, sniffles sounding after.

"Just do it." He tilts my chin up with his finger and smashes his lips against mine. I'm taken aback, extremely taken aback.

I shove him away and gape at him. "Why did you do that?"

"Yeah, why did you do that?" Our heads snap to the boy standing next to us on the porch, a bouquet of roses in his hand.

I can't believe I didn't notice his jeep in the driveway.

"Hi there Logan. What are you doing here?" Cameron awkwardly scratches the back of his neck.

"MY girlfriend was sick." Logan wraps his arm around my waist and pulls me towards him.

I glance at him nervously before looking back at Cameron, his eyes rolling. "Yeah, I'll be inside. No harm, no foul."

Once Cameron leaves us, Logan's jaw unclenches and he hands me the roses. I take them and send Logan a small smile.

"You're sweet."

"Why did he kiss you? Do you like him? Have you done other things with him?" I'm bombarded with questions, leaving me to stare confusedly.

"Logan, you were standing here. I shoved him away and asked the same exact thing, minus the two other questions. I'm obviously dating you and no way." I bite my lip. "Thanks for the flowers, but I think you should go."

"Brooklyn, I'm sorry." He shakes his head and pulls me back to him. "I just don't want to lose you or anything this soon."

I nod and shrug. "Me neither."

"Good." He kisses me on the lips before kissing my cheek once more. "I have to get back to school, but I wanted to check on you."

"Thank you." I smile.

"Which, you don't seem sick?" Logan raises his eyebrows.

I let out a harsh laugh. "Just part of the stuff I can't tell you yet."

"Okay, Brooklyn Lancaster." He shakes his head with a grin before heading to his car.

I bring the roses inside and see Cameron chuckling with a guy next to him. I'm first concerned with how he got here and why he's here. I think I might need glasses or something because I don't see anything lately.

"Oh, Nash, this is Brooklyn. She's my neighbor." Cam gives me a look before smirking at this Nash.

"Um, hi?" I glance between him and Cameron. "When did you get here?"

"Why hello and Sierra picked me up." He grinned. "I am here to visit my good pal."

"Oh yeah, I meant to talk to you." Sierra walked in from the kitchen to the three of us. "We need to figure out which of you are sleeping on the couch."

"Actually, I can go home. I'll stay there." I shrug. This actually works for me.

"No. I heard about all the stuff that happens at your house." Sierra rolls her eyes.

"What are you talking about?" I act oblivious. "Nothing happens."

"Now I call bullshit." Cameron mutters.

I elbow him before sending Nash a smile. "I don't know what he's talking about.

"Shut up." Cam rolls his eyes at me now.

"Is that really how you treat your girlfriend?" Sierra challenges with a smirk.

"Girlfriend? Alright, Cam!" Nash pats Cameron's back.

"You two are dating?" Gina walks over to us with a curious look.

Shit.

"I forgot to tell you Mom was home!" Sierra gives a scared smile before darting out of the room.

I'm really getting tired of this.
