"Do we just let them sleep? I don't know what to do." Voices distantly float around.
"No, they have school. Where is Nash?"
"In Cameron's room, I presume. This is so weird."
"I figured it would happen."
Wiping my eyes, I turn and look to where the voices were coming from. Sierra and Gina are staring in the doorway, amusement present in their eyes. Following their sight, I turn to see Cameron asleep beside me with his arm around my waist.
Quickly, I jump out of bed and stare at Cameron as he slowly wakes up.
"What is going on?" He stretches and then furrows his brows.
"Nothing, we have to get ready for school." I nod to Sierra and Gina as they walk away silently.
Cam sighs and scoots to the end of the bed. "A simple 'rise and shine' would have sufficed."
"There's no time for rise and shine, Cam." I huff and pull the blankets up, making the bed.
"Geez. Guess you woke up on the wrong side of the bed."
I glare at him before bringing my clothes to get ready in the bathroom.
After I'm all set for school, I go back into the guest room to grab my phone off the charger. Logan has texted me saying he is on his way. I grab my backpack and go downstairs to a silent kitchen.
"I'm just going to have coffee to go." I awkwardly look at the Dallas family and Nash.
"I thought I was bringing you to school." Cameron munches on his toast.
I hear a honk outside before smiling and pointing to the door. "Logan is here. I'll see you guys after school."
Hurrying to Logan's car, I hop into the passenger seat. Logan smiles and kisses me quickly before pulling out of the driveway.
"Shoot." I reach into my pocket for my phone.
"What's wrong? Forget something?" Logan glances at me.
"Just to take care of Hunter. I'll text Sierra." After sending a text her way, I stare out the window and recognize the scenery towards school.
"I made a lot of friends yesterday. I think I may even be joining the football team." Logan smiles to me.
"That's great, Logan. I'm glad you are liking it here." I smile back.
"I'm liking you the most." He grins and grabs my hand.
When we pull into the parking lot, I notice Logan going to park near where all the popular kids park. Not knowing what to be ready for, I swallow and standby as he turns the car off and gets his bag.
I get my bag and shut the door, joining Logan next to the other kids all talking by their cars.
"Didn't think it was true, but it seems like it is." Sophia chews her gum and looks at me.
Playing into her game, I sigh and smile. "What may that be, Sophia?"
"That the new small town hottie was dating the big time psycho." She laughs with her friends as I roll my eyes.
"Hey." Logan raises his eyebrows.
"Sorry, Lo. It's just that we don't really like her." Jake winks at me.
"You could do so much better." Lillian adds, smiling seductively at Logan.
Becoming fed up, I scoff and turn away. Walking into school like this is an everyday thing. I'm not sure how to get people to see that I am actually not a bad person. The downside is that I may actually start believing them.
"Hey!" Liz jogs up beside me and frowns. "Why do you have the look like you're in a bad mood?"
"Same morning. I don't know, I came with Logan today and the Sophia gang just said mean stuff." I shrug and go to my locker, taking books out.
"They need to stop." Liz huffs.
"I know. It does kind of sting that Logan didn't really do anything."
Liz slams her locker and looks at me. "He didn't?"
I close mine and sigh. "I mean he said 'hey' but nothing besides that."
"I don't know how I feel about him, Brooklyn. I mean, do you really know him?" Liz puts her hand on my shoulder.
I shrug it off. "I would like to think so, Liz."
"I'm sorry. I'm just trying to look after you. I gotta get to class but I'll find you at lunch." She turns down the opposite hallway.
I check my phone for the time and wait for Logan to show up somewhere. Glancing around as the first bell sounds, I see no sign of him and resort to heading to class on my own.

Lunch has finally arrived and I grab a lunch tray before looking for an open table. Walking past Sophia's table, I get called over.
Closing my eyes and taking a deep breath, I turn and smile at these bullies. "Yes?"
"I just wanted you to sit with me." Logan appears as some cheerleaders move out of the way.
After looking at the disgusted faces, I turn back to look at Logan. "I'll be fine on my own. Are you able to bring me home after school?"
He sighs and walks over to me, cupping my face. "Actually, I can't. I have football practice. Maybe you can take the bus or walk?"
Swallowing, I nod and smile. "Of course, no biggie. I will catch you later."
"Sweet." He kisses my cheek and sits back down.
As I turn, I make eye contact with Cameron beside Sophia. Biting my lip, I continue to the empty table and start to eat my lunch. Yet, I am suddenly no longer hungry.

It's the end of the school day and I missed the bus due to grabbing some other missing homework from my AP Chemistry teacher.
Before leaving the school, I check my phone for any texts and come up with nothing. With that, I begin my long dissent to the Dallas house.
As I turn down the road, a car pulls up next to me. Anyone with eyes would know that it was Cameron's car.
He rolls down the window and yells to me. "Get in, Brooklyn."
"I'm fine." I shake my head.
"Just do it." Cam rolls his eyes.
I shake my head before getting into the passenger seat, staring forward and not bearing a second glance at the boy next to me. When we finally pull into the driveway, Cameron turns the car off and stays seated.
Confused, I turn to him. The pitying look he gives me sets me off and I'm instantly sobbing.
Cam leans over the console and pulls me into a tight embrace, smoothing over my hair and trying to shush me.
Once I am finally calmed down, we get out of the car and head inside to Nash eating chips on the couch.
Nash turns and grins as he sees us. "I have amazing news."
"What is it?" Cameron takes the chips from Nash and starts eating them.
"Brooklyn, I may have gotten you a record deal."
I choke on my own breath. "W-what?"
