Mysterious Moonlit Mermaid

I wandered closer, I knelt down and placed my legs into the water as I was sitting on the waters edge. It was cold yet relaxing. I wanted to know everything (not because I am nosy I just want to know why ruby is here!!) She must have judged my facial expressions as she spoke out and proceeded " I am here as you may be wondering because you are very special and important to the mermaid society"

What she had stated to me made no sense at all why me, why now. They could have called on anyone else but me. I couldn't say I wasn't excited though.

"Now go home and come back here at noon, we have some discussing to complete!" I was away with the fairies not knowing what to reply so I nod in return and slipped my legs out of the water and walked out back into the open and home I went.

I opened the white wooden door and walked in smelling roast which I clarified as what we were having for dinner. I greet my mum and stride through the hallway into my room. I threw myself on my bed as it sinks and surrounds me making comfortable, just the way I like it.

My brain swims with ideas, over filling, they were everywhere. I didn't even know what to think of first. But why me? I have never really believed in mermaids anyways so why on earth choose me? Maybe they wanted to change my mind, experiment on me or even worse take me as a slave.

I seriously knew I was over thinking this but I had to get the bottom of it. I just needed something to keep my mind off everything. Just as that thought pops into my mind my mum calls me down for dinner. Thank goodness I exclaimed. I walked through my door and shut it behind me.
