When we got off the plane, I got lost in the crowd. Typical me.
But when I came out of the crowd, I saw...
Caleb, making out with another girl.
I felt a knot in my stomach. He glanced over to me. "Oh, hey Harmony, you look fat" he laughed. A group of boys behind him snickered. "You said it, Leblanc!" one of them said. My knees felt weak. I ignored them and just disappeared into the crowd again. I walked towards my family, holding in my tears.
In the car, I listened to Ryan ramble on about Hayley. He has a crush, I know it. But I wish me and Caleb's relationship was as simple.
When I got home, I ran into my room and locked the door behind me. And I let the tears fall. Caleb, the one who I watched everyday, the boy who made me laugh, the person who helped me recover from my injury earlier that day...
Why did he do that? My sight was blinded by tears of sorrow. I felt a lump in my throat. The boy who I always dreamed of meeting everyday, the boy who I danced with, the boy i had a crush on...
Was he being nice to play a joke on me?
I stayed in my room for the rest of the day. Tomorrow, I go to school. At least Caleb is home-schooled.
